Alphabe-Thursday - 7 -May 2014

They say married people live longer.  Maybe so.  I like to think the more time we spend among nature's gifts, adds years as well.

Jenny's assignment this week is the letter "Y" and my letter is for Years.

YEARS - We never know how many will be ours, so it's important to make the most of it!

Filling our years -

"The most important story we will ever write in life is our own- not with ink, but with our choices." Richard Paul Evans from his book, The Gift.

On getting our story right, it helps to always, keep a good head on your shoulders.

Well, you know mannequin is described as, a dummy used to display clothes in a store window!

On Making the Years right.

"We are all in motion. Always.  Those who are not climbing toward something are descending toward nothing."  From his book, Miles to Go

There might be moments through our years when you just need to

                   Let it go!

"YOU miss 100 percent of the shots YOU don't take."  - Wayne Gretzky

YOU know it's better to try than never try at all?

This tribute is for a goodhearted hero from Minnesota, after being faced with an unbelievable situation.

There are situations that may unexpectedly arrive and your choice for the better good of so many others, may come into play.
They don't mention it here, but he also said moments before the end, "Let's roll."

Thank you Tom, for those of us that knew you, and the many others yet to discover your courageousness, you will not be forgotten, ever.

YOUR YEARS, are they filled with enough love?

"Love is the ultimate and highest goal to which man can aspire." - Viktor E. Frankl

How many years to get it right?  We'll never know.  But-

"When we are no longer able to change a situation - we are challenged to change ourselves."  Viktor E. Frankl

I'm sorry you lost someone you knew on that horrible day.

Yes, none of us knows from one heart beat to the next what is going to happen.

I enjoyed those quotes.
