That Feeling When

That feeling when the open road beckons you to explore, discover or wander to unexpected destinations? Or has winter gotten in the way?

Welcome to

SATURDAY'S CRITTERS

and posting to City Daily Photo

Anywhere you want to go is within walking distance

if you have the time.

My wanderings bring all kinds of photos for my collection.
Are you ready for my critter explosion unleashed?

Notice what is right in front of you.

Trust the flow.

The present moment doesn't need perfect conditions.

Arrive with each step.

Everything has beauty but not everyone sees it.

Quiet the chatter.

Do you see the rainbow?

Oddly enough this is on Rainbow Mountain too!

The important thing is to not stop questioning things.

Curiosity has its own reasons for existence.

My son's first major fire. This photo was taken by the police chief.

"What matters most is how well you walk through the fire."
Charles Bukowski

Life isn't about a picture of perfection. It's a weaving of normal times, imperfect moments, everyday wakings, challenges, good and bad. Our lives are a weaving between our past desires, today's moments, and gatherings from yesterday.

Thank you for wandering along with me.
Happy March 1st tomorrow and
take good care of you.

Hudson Haunts and Trumpeter Swans

Please join me on a recap of yesterday's trip to Hudson and my visit with some old friends, Trumpeter Swans. I enjoy saying trip it helps me feel like I went somewhere far away, where in reality it's 43 miles from my garage!

Okay I came early and stayed late. Hudson has much to offer. I mean where else can you find on one block, an outstanding cozy and quirky bookstore, flower shop and divine chocolate shop with ice cream all in a row?

"I've learned this, at least, by my experiment: that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams. . . . .

and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours." Henry David Thoreau

And no, I wasn't invited to dine or walk along.

Are you leading or following?
Honestly the steps we take themselves
make our path as we wander the
streets or throughout nature's calling to us.

Let joy wash over you.

Can you see me?

"Let me keep my distance, always, from those who think they have all the answers.
Let me keep company with those who say, Look up! and laugh in astonishment, and bow their heads." Mary Oliver

I always wanted to spend even one night here.

Once upon a Bed and Breakfast now appears
to be a private residence. Across the street
is the famous Octagon House Museum.

The famous Octagon House another hard place to get in on the tour.

"When a dog runs at you, whistle for him, it often happens that a man develops a deeper love and friendship with his pet cat or dog than he does with most of the other humans in his life."
Henry David Thoreau

Minnesota greenery.

Some deer of Lakeland, Minnesota
of which there are many.

Thank you for sharing time with me.
Take good care of you.

If you're close to Stillwater or could make the drive, I hope you arrived in time before these incredible snow-sculptures were wiped away. We came we saw and enjoyed 2026 until next year's event.

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

I'm posting to City Daily Photo

Now where were we?

"Success is in the doing, not the getting,
in the trying, not the triumph."
Zig Ziglar

Be one that comes alive.

Linden Hills. Floridians don't understand the

meaning of patio seating with a chill in the air.

Enjoy the rest of this week as we say good-bye to the short-lived spring days and winter returns. See you back here this weekend.

Take good care of you.
