Critters and Places

Posting for

It's time again for

SATURDAY'S CRITTERS

Who goes there
so silently
and deliberately
in such a creepy, crawling manner
afoot in my post?

Even Dash has caught sight of

Someone

and featuring story words by
WORDS FOR WEDNESDAY
(words, and phrase in italic blue)

Are you ever drawn to certain places, over and over again?

"I was just wondering could you solve this little argument?"

Some people call them our"Happy Place"
I like to think of them as mere places we've been
with enormous memories
that bring joy each time we remember them.

A wee bit closer

"What you listen in heart,
are echoes of the past.
What you right today,
will be echoed in the future."
Toba Beta

"But what is memory if not the language of feeling,
a dictionary of faces and days and smells which repeat themselves like the verbs and adjectives in a speech,
sneaking in behind the thing itself,
into the pure present, making us sad or teaching us vicariously."
Juli Cortazar

So that someone

could be anyone really,

just hanging about or perhaps engaged in a game of hopscotch

feeling all the more hotter as the sun shines brightly overhead
catching what could be a hoaxer
always at the ready to
conjure up another trick
 or dispel all common sense
all in the name of good fun
to keep folks from being too
lonely.

So what do you think,
can you help solve this argument?

Smarter Than The Average Bear

(Note a fence towards Good Fences)

Another annual Yogi Bear

camping trip
is over with only one rainy day!

It's just the rain and a whole lot of humidity at the moment that makes this photo blurry!
But after this-
it was all sunshine and funshine!

Smarter than the average (cutest) bear ever is Cindy Bear!

Seriously, this is the only fence photo for

GOOD FENCES

Karina having the time of her life!

Okay how about this one too?

Does a wall of rocks count for a good fence?

Did I mention we had munchkin refreshments-
but there were adult delights to refresh as well!

Hard to believe not one roasted marshmallow was created-
What? But we made Jiffy Pop over the campfire.
But I'll save that fiasco for another time!

Just a few of the crew!
Hanging on in all this rainy-ness!

Because

The older you get,
the more you realize that it isn't about the material things,
or pride or ego
or dry faces

It's about our hearts
and who they beat for.

Thank goodness my daughter, her hubby and their little girl Lyra, made the drive up here to join in our family fun this year!

But their stay wasn't long enough.  Although as you see from the photo above they had lots of landmarks to drive by as they drove back home.

Of course Cierra and Lyra made a stop to my Target store before returning home!

live it,
be happy,
enjoy life."

Words Mean Things

WORDS MEAN THINGS

but pictures
bring life to your story.

There's a whole lot of living to be had!

First thing
welcome to another
GOOD FENCES
posting.

Fences
and
buried treasures.
Sometimes you just never know what may be on the other side.

Gardening.

An experience of love and support and a bounty of beauty.
Sometimes delicious things to eat too!
Never ever stop learning, or doing or questioning.

A simple hello.
Because
those spontaneous
simple kind hellos exchanged
changes lives forever.
A cherry for your banana split maybe?

Isn't it always about the cherry on top?
If you're around munchkins it sure is.
Pickles and cherries go with everything
didn't you know that?

When you hear the bell, you feel a tug at your heart.

"Dare to be different.
Show off you
to everyone you meet.
Stand out and fill your world with joy."
Said the little turquoise sailboat to all the other sailboats.

Friends do things together.

Sharing precious silly, spontaneous, and captivating moments.

Friends

"Each friend represents a world in us,
a world possibly not born until they arrive,
and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born."
Anais Nin

The Phone Booth
Things we may miss, and hold endless memories of.

This one is actually still in service at our local airport, for public use in Dakota County.

Relationships

"If you judge people, you have no time to love them."
Mother Teresa

"PEACE begins with a smile."
Always.

"Love is a fruit in season at all times, and within reach of every hand."
Mother Teresa

I extend my hand to you all
I'm so happy when we share this time together.
Take good care of you.

Moonbeam Song

Lately, it seems we go from one tragic moment to the next.  We're finding ourselves lost in deep ugly thoughts from the hands of others.

Well Martin Luther King offered many perfect quotes in times like this.

"We must learn to live together as brothers
or perish together as fools."

and

"Darkness cannot drive out darkness:
Only light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out hate.
Only love can do that."

and I believe nature.
and Moonbeams.
And blue skies.

The thing about
Moonbeams
is
they are real.

as real as life.

As real as the little tidbits life offers.

Freely.

As real as horses.

"There is nothing so good for the inside of a man
as the outside of a horse."
John Lubbock

"We all live under the same sky
but we don't all have the same horizon."
Konrad Adenauer

"Now come the whispers
bearing bouquets of moonbeams
and sunlight tremblings."

Have you ever watched a moonbeam
As it slid across your windowpane
Or struggled with a bit of rain
Or danced about the weathervane
Or sat along a moving train
And wondered where the train has been?

When life offers us the blues-
Remember what Duke said.

"I merely took the energy it takes to pout and wrote some blues."
Duke Ellington

When I took this picture,
I was capturing more than beautiful clouds!

"Life is colorful, enjoy every moment.

"There is beauty
heartbreaking beauty
everywhere."
Edward Abbey

From a child's laughter.

When we bloom as if we were flowers.

Dare to go out and live
out loud.

Yes, there have been cows known to ride over the moon too!

Thanks for stopping by and
May happiness and love follow you everywhere you go.

Nope, you came with your Mama!

Coffee Beans, A Fence and Me

"I have learned that the point of life's walk
is not where or how far I move my feet but
but how I am moved in my heart."
Anasazi Foundation

(or a carrot)
who hides in houses

GOOD FENCES

I really owe today's Good Fences post to
Facebook
and a memory of mine they had waiting for me.
(I really enjoy reviewing what memories they've left for me)
It's like living it all over again.

It was a post I shared on FB that stood out the most today, and now I'm sharing it with you.

If it all came down to carrots, eggs and coffee beans,
and if I had a choice, I'd chose to be a coffee bean!

"Where's the coffee?" cried the thirsty Gnome while wiping his beard!

Grandma always sees thing much different-

(as well as my dear great-grandmother)

they showed me the way-
ways I still follow today)

Their biggest point was
always be thankful-

Being thankful spreads too.

"The ground coffee beans were unique, however. After they were in the boiling water, they had changed the water."

And they were thankful to bring such flavor to life.

Grandma always sees things much different.

Those little munchkins are counting on it!

"You must give everything to make your life
as beautiful as the dreams that dance in your imagination."
Roman Payne

Enjoy your life! Thanks for stopping by to make my day brighter!
