Window Reflections is our March Theme

Our March theme

 for City Daily Photo is,

Window Reflections

I crave window reflections and search for them in every walk I take. Seriously.

Our eyes are the window to our soul.

and why not Celebrate the Unknown?

Those little things waiting to be seen.

"Set wide the window. Let me drink the day."

 Edith Wharton

Can you catch my reflection in several of these photos?

I spy myself here can you see me too?

Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to others.

"May you live everyday of your life."

Jonathan Swift

The shipwreck of my thoughts is, not having any.

So, begin each day not by vision alone but with a positive thought.
(And if you're super lucky you can share the morning air with your dog or dogs.)

"Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom."
Aristotle

Same place different view in the photo above and the one below.

There are so many sides to who we are depending on who you're with and sometimes it's about who we reveal and who we keep hidden inside.

"The difference between who you are and who you want to be,

 is what you do."

Bill Phillips

There's so much more to a window than looking inside like the view of the outside it offers as well.

A little of inside the window along with reflection playing in this photo.

"The biggest window in the world is your mind, and the capacity of your mind depends on how much of your window is curtained and how much is not curtained. The brightest mind is of course the mind that has no curtains!"

Mehmet Murat ildan

"Whatever you do will be insignificant, but it is very important that you do it."
Mahatma Gandhi

New Ways

Welcome to my Sunday post for

SATURDAY'S CRITTERS

and I'm also posting to Daily City Photo

Looking at new ways to do old things.

I shall leap from this corner to the other counter, and I shall do this without fail, for I have mastered jumping!

My youngest son and my daughter showing us their super-strengths!

"Don't let mental blocks control you. Set yourself free. Confront your fear and turn the mental blocks into building blocks."

Dr. Roopleen

So put on your sunglasses and head outdoors and forget your woes!

"Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever. That surrender, even the smallest act of giving up, stays with me. So, when I feel like quitting, I ask myself, which would I rather live with?"

Lance Armstrong

"We're so busy watching out for what's ahead of us that we don't take time to enjoy where we are!"

Bill Watterson

"Anyone who imagines they can work alone winds up surrounded by nothing but rivals, without companions. The fact is no one ascends alone."

Lance Armstrong

"Make every negative into a positive," as my mother says. Nothing goes to waste, you put it all to use, the old wounds and long-ago slights become the stuff of competitive energy."

Lance Armstrong

"Being humble means recognizing that we not on earth to see how important we can become, but to see how much difference we can make in the lives of others."

Gordon B. Hinckley

"That's why animals are so soft and huggy."
Bill Watterson

"When the owl sings, the night is silent. (Quand le hibou chante, La nuit est silence)

Artful Thoughts and Critters

Good morning, everyone and welcome to another

SATURDAY'S CRITTERS

post and I'm posting to City Daily Photo too.

Excuse me human I'll take this you won't be needing it.

"I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge. That myth is more potent than history. That dreams are more powerful than facts. That hope always triumphs over experience. That laughter is the only cure for grief. And I believe that love is stronger than death."

Robert Fulghum

"Why not run with your wildest of imaginations of what could be?"

"Every person passing through this life will unknowingly leave something and take something away. Most of this "something" cannot be seen or heard or numbered or scientifically detected or counted. It's what we leave in the minds of other people and what they leave in ours. Memory. The census doesn't count it. Nothing counts without it."
Robert Fulghum

Art brings joy and smiles to our life!

"Peace is not something you wish for, it is something you make, something you are, something you do, and something you give away."

Robert Fulghum

The biggest adventure you can ever take
is to live the life of your dreams.

We must take adventures to truly know where we belong.

Adventure is worthwhile!

Keep moving.

Keep doing.

One must play as often as possible!

"Live a balanced life - learn some and think some and draw some and paint some and sing and dance and play and work every day some."
Robert Fulghum

"It doesn't matter what you say you believe; it only matters what you do."
Robert Fulghum

"It's the spirit here that counts. The time may be long, the vehicle may be strange or unexpected, but if the dream is held close to the heart, and imagination is applied to what there is close at hand,
everything is still possible.
Robert Fulghum

I met Robert Fulghum once years ago at a writer's convention, he had a very interesting character, and I bought a couple of his books. These quotes above are from the book below.

Thanks for stopping by.

Enjoy the weekend and take good care of you.

Street Corner Essentials

Welcome to City Daily Photo and on this February 1st our theme for the month is Street Corner.

Can you guess what street corner we're on in London?

The buzz of the city is what inspires street art!

"There's something about arriving in new cities, wandering empty streets with no destination. I will never lose the love for the arriving, but I'm born to leave."

Charlotte Eriksson

"The more you spend your time in the ordinary streets, the more extraordinary thing you will learn!"

Mehmet Murat ildan

"The opportunities you missed, the streets you didn't walk, the people you didn't talk to and the dreams you didn't dream will be the fate of others, not yours!"

Mehmet Murat ildan

"To better understand the magic of street corners, find any corner and wait to see a number of things or events as they may randomly appear at any corner, as it happens in life!"

Thanks for stopping by!

Take a walk around the streets and see a street corner in a new and fascinating way!
