Find Your Beast

Life is better when you're in

BEAST MODE

Welcome to

SATURDAY'S CRITTERS

and I'm posting to City Daily Photo

Unleash the beast within you.

"Humanity is a cage, and our puritanical sensibilities comprise the bars. We are confined by our own reason and intellect, and yet most of us don't even know it." Nenia Campbell

Trust your gut instincts.

"I know not all that may be coming, but be it what it will,

I'll go to it laughing."

Herman Melville

and I'll make others laugh with me.

How much does a thought weigh?

Don't overload your thoughts. Put s0methings on the backburner.

Great advice from dogs,

"I try all things, I achieve what I can,"

Herman Melville

But know, I prefer treats that are delicious!

Don't be that person who doesn't see the beauty behind every day. Enjoy those simple pleasures in life they say yet, there's more than smelling roses. Scream out to the skies your worrisome fears. Unleash and move on.  Skip following the overtold rules. Fly with the stars. Give away your favorite book and make someone's day. You're on the right path when you move about with feeling. Set forth on your own path, achieve the unachievable that calls to you.

Be the one that bursts out of the crowd.

"You were born an original work of art, Stay original.

Suzy Kassem

The grass on the other side is the same. Trust me on this.

Do what you can, with what you have,

 wherever you are.

"Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much."

Helen Keller

"Truth is in things and not in words."

Herman Melville

Together We Can

It's all about teamwork.

"We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools."

Martin Luther King Jr

I'm excited about tomorrow which is adult/family day
at the Renaissance Festival!

There's only room for merriment.

"Far more important than the tribulations and heartaches, the thrills, merriment, and pleasures of life is what you learn from it all. It isn't the tunnel we pass through that matters, it's what emerges on the other side." Richelle E. Goodrich

Life is full of choices so get out there and have a blast doing whatever you're doing.

Our Minnesota State Fair has arrived again!

Impossible doesn't stand a chance.

"Scars are but evidence of life," Coquette said. "Evidence of choices to be learned from, evidence of wounds, wounds inflicted of mistakes, wounds we choose to allow the healing of. We likewise choose to see them, that we may not make the same mistakes again," Marcia Lynn McClure

So, what plans do you have for this last weekend of August?

Thanks for sharing time with me and gifting me with your thoughts and comments.

Take good care of you.

Summertime

Welcome to a (short) catch up of what's been happening in my world this summer. It's all about making the most that we can of all the fairs, festivals, day trips, weekend trips, concerts, hiking, picnics, graduations and whatnots that we all celebrate before mother nature brings a wintry mix.

In the Summertime

Take time to not just see but feel simple pleasures.  Don't allow seemingly insignificant moments happen your way without noticing. By doing this you will uncover a wealth of beauty and depth of knowledge that surprises you.

"We've got to live, no matter how many skies have fallen."

D. H. Lawrence

Tastes those surprises, like ice cream. Drinks that cool you. Cookies with sprinkles.

"I should feel the air move against me, and feel the things I've touched, instead of having only to look at them. I'm sure life is all wrong because it has become much to visual - we can neither hear nor feel nor understand, we can only see. I'm sure that is entirely wrong."
D. H. Lawrence

Stop and smell the flowers. Feel the breeze. Here the birds.

Spirit of the Sandbagger artwork on an arch above a path leading to Riverside Gardens in Fargo, North Dakota, a city on the state's eastern border with Minnesota, which was a Lions Club project commemorating its 100th Anniversary.

Art and artwork within your photographs. Showing without words.

"Art is what gets us beyond what is real. It makes reality more real. It also shortens the distance we have to travel to see how connected we are."

Laura Pritchett

Build more Cairns. Share Cairns. Leave unexpected Cairns.

"If I have done anything, even a little, to help small children enjoy honest, simple pleasures, I have done a bit of good."
Beatrix Potter

"Discarded lay all the dreams in the bin of unwanted things.
Till you come and set them free and to soar, gave them wings."
Neelan Saxena Chandra

"Try not to become a man of success.
Rather become a man of value."
Albert Einstein

Below is a quick look at what's our way!

Halloween decorations on a Christmas tree.

"It's the simple things in your life that make up the bulk of it. The mundane is where we live, and we end up missing most of it. We find it again in the silence and in the attention of everyday life."

Eric Overby

Thanks for stopping by and for your comments they make my day and I hope your day is all that it can be.
Take good care of you.

August Theme Day - Garden Blooms

 Welcome to City Daily Photo

and our

 August Theme is Garden

"As I work on the garden, the garden works on me."

"I will be the gladdest thing under the sun! I will touch a hundred flowers and not pick one."
Edna St. Vincent Millay

We have a lot of volunteers this year, and not just flower seeds dropped by some visiting bird.  Pretty much all of our grass has been overrun with weeds!
Like this lovely little something below.

"A weed is but an unloved flower."
Ella Wheeler Wilcox

Look closely there's a bee enjoying this as well.

"People from a planet without flowers would think we must be mad.
with joy the whole time to have such things about us." Iris Murdoch

Sometimes for me these lovely little somethings that appear out of who knows where, are always a delight.

"Flowers lift the spirit and refresh the soul.

"A garden is not a place it's a journey."

Monty Don Reed

Thank you for stopping in and gifting me with your comments.
Take good care of you and stop to smell the flowers along our way.
