Saturday Centus - I planted a little

THIS IS A SATURDAY CENTUS POST

Welcome to another Saturday Centus!  This week Jenny has us back at 100 words plus the 6 words of the prompt, which is "I planted a little story seed...."  and no extra picture!

My inspiration arrived by a motorcyclist with a death wish on his mind.  I've seen crazy driving before, but this was over the top!  He was still on my mind when I read Jenny's prompt, and I knew what I had to do.

Here it is...this is just for you motorcycle man!

I planted a little story seed

In my heart the moment you were born
And not just whether I should bottle-feed or breastfeed
But that I’d raise you by the good mother’s creed.

That’s why I disagreed
About you living by the motorcycle creed.

And I’m praying you heed
My words, because I couldn’t bare to mourn
What arrives once metal meets road with flashes of chrome
And loss of life guaranteed.

A biker passed by with too much airspeed
Zigzagging his way home
Did he have a death wish or a desire to bleed?
Thankfully, it wasn't you.

Always remember your mother's love and Godspeed.

As a side note just in case you are wondering, my sons don't drive motorcycles, THANKFULLY!.....but we still do own one.......!

Karen, this is a piece that comes right from the heart. You are a wonderful mother--loving and caring. I hope that Mr. Motorcycle Man appreciates you as much as I do.

Nice job. For someone who is married to a motorcycle man, I know just what you are talking about.

Judie, thanks for you kind words. Most everyone was pretty scorned at this crazy man, I couldn't believe the chances he took, cutting people off at the last second.... but all the while I watched him I thought my goodness where were his loved ones.....I don't know how these guys do it, without crashing.

WOW! That is so good and so profound! I loved it!

Anitamombanita, may he stay safe! It's sure scary out there on the open road sometimes!

Great creative twist to real life. Some drivers are born crazy, maybe he was practising for the races. :)

Motorcycles scare me, always have. And I am so grateful that my sons respected their father's wishes and never rode them. (My husband lost a very good friend to a motorcycle accident when he was a teenager.)

Evocative Centus.

=)

I get so nervous when any of those dare-devils are riding anywhere near me. "Death guaranteed" <--great, appropriate phrase. I really like this. It says a lot.

This was so profound. I often see people driving and think too that they have a death wish. Great work.

Oh, I have been there! My son did drive a motorcycle, and I did get the call that he had been taken to the hospital. Thank God, he was not seriously injured, and I was even thankful his cycle was totaled. Little did I know, he would buy another one. Great job with this piece. I felt the fear in hear my heart. laurie @ http://dealingwithmyinnercritic.blogspot.com/

If my mom had been a poet, that's what she would have written! A motorcycle is one of the few things my mother forbid that I haven't done or gotten...

Jeff- You are a good son! ...and I can bet your Mother was very proud of you!

well, as a girl that used to ride ... emphasis on "used to" I can totally relate ... it's a scary world out there ... to many other drivers who just don't watch for motorcycles ... to many temptations to speed on a sunny day ... If my own daughter ever wanted a motorcycle i would certainly feel the same way you do.

A great piece! Thank goodness my elder son listened to me when I said I really, really, didn't want him riding motorbikes.

I keep planting these little seeds to my Granddaughters about drugs and other evils!

I liked your unique take on this prompt.

As a mother, this really touched me.
