Day Brighteners and critters

Welcome to
and I'm posting to City Daily Photo

"To live is the rarest thing in the world.
Most people exist that is all."
Oscar Wilde

Yesterday, was incredibly packed no time to blog and so today I begin posting some of my adventures from a place looking over to the next place on my day's list.  (Minnesotans should know where I am going) Mind you it was sunny and a brisk wind all day long, still folks ventured to soak up everything at our footsteps.

Of course, if possible, humans brought their devoted pals.

The next photos are across from my starting point. Any guesses?

Choose joy!

Take a good look around you.

Yes, you can ask any owl.

The beauty of this place will magnify once summer arrives.

Keep seeking the light.

My favorite musical dog still pleasing for us all.

Meet Jake on Bass by artist Scott Schlag

Thank goodness I took a lot of pictures of this incredibly smart

Humpty-Dumpty because he doesn't sit here any longer.

Where did he go?

"Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that."

Martin Luther King Jr.

Huge hint here!

Have your tried to create something with junk that's waiting around for something to do?

"Music was my refuge. I could crawl into the space between the notes and curl my back to loneliness."

Maya Angelou

Lately I've also learned the importance of silence.

"Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it."

Maya Angelou

Revel in your day. Or become obsolete.

"How ever long the night the dawn will break."

I trust you know where we are.

Most of us aren't twenty anymore, so. . .

Live with a worthy mission in life, not to merely survive, but to thrive filling your days with passion (of even the tiniest ant hoping and working to survive each day) living with compassion seasoned with humor and don't forget style. Be you.

Did you guess Red Wing?

Truly. This. Sometimes it's not about the happy ending.

Maybe it's about the story. What do you think?

Say good-bye for now Scarecrow

until next time.

Thank you for stopping and commenting

and take good care of you!

Remember,

It's the littlest of things that matter.

Peace, Easter and Critters

Wishing you all a wonderous and joyful Easter with love and peace, so much peace that it overflows across the entire world.

May your Easter celebrations be filled with love and maybe some delicious chocolate.

Happy Easter

Where does chocolate really come from?

SATURDAY'S CRITTERS

and I'm posting to City Daily Photo

Looking dapper I know, although she's a girl!

Peace Dog

"Peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding."
Albert Einstein

Bashful bunny wouldn't you agree?

"The great gift of Easter is hope." Basil Hume

Easter arrives in our hearts in many ways, each of us having our own meanings and traditions. Halloween is a good example of that. In fact, Easter and Halloween amazingly enough have similarities, a friend pointed this out to me. So I googled similarities between Easter and Halloween. It was an interesting read you may enjoy it as well.

Easter brings hope and renewal.
(and odd-looking carrots)

Easter is meant to be a symbol of hope, renewal and new life.

Easter Egg hunts can celebrate not just the egg or candy you're hunting for but also nature's gifts waiting to be discovered.

"One hand I extend into myself, the other toward others."
Dejan Stojanovic

Sometimes reaching out and taking someone's hand is the beginning of a journey and it's allowing others to take yours.

Ready to eat!

"My feelings are too loud for words and too shy for the world."
Dejan Stojanovic

Why not create a rebirth of your artfulness?

"Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life."
Pablo Picasso

Why not throw out the brushes and use those fingers?

"Easter knits hearts closer together."
Samuel Keane

Sometimes Minnesota serves us a snowy hunt.

I spy a whole lot of eggs!
(The fire department sponsors this hunt every year.)

"Family traditions at Easter teach children
what it means to belong."
Ruth Albright

Sending you Easter wishes and springtime smiles.
Thank you for stopping by and your gift of comments.
Take good care of you.

As you go about your week remember to feed your soul. Nature is the best place to begin. Emphasize the importance of solitude and self-reflection. Nurture your mind and soul and watch your life soar!
