Words For Wednesday

This post is especially for "Elephant's Child" who has come to the blogging rescue for "Delores at Under the Porch Light.

Our mission if we accept is to encourage our writing skills (to burst into song or story) and what we do with the prompts is up to us. Just do it!

I'm using both sets of word prompts.

First set- Wary, serve, itchy, mindless, yard, marathon and next set- is Jog, bless, steadfast, industrious, sturdy, and skilled.

So this is based on a true story.

Of course, I have this day off to mow- but shall I?  Find out in this Words for Wednesday challenge.

 To Mow or To Jog?

Be wary of darkening skies which serve as an itchy reminder that while even garden gnomes are mindless to yard work, my mowing marathon must dutifully continue.  I am after all, the lawn-caring-mower of these grass-growing-grounds of home.

Sure the rain must fall today.

Yes, I noticed you're running in the rain.  Go ahead jog, and bless your steadfast, industrious idea to pound ever so lightly across our torn up streets, wearing your sturdy Nike kickers with such skilled labor and your need to jog.

I'll meagerly wait for the rain to cease before I rev up my sturdy trusty steed Mr. Tractor, and formulate a mowing attack once again!

I wish I could find some gnomes to help me mow! It seems endless! My jogging days are long over. A walk is nice!

Love it. Thank you.
We have been in drought too often for me to ever object to rain, but goodness it makes the grass (and the weeds) thrive. The things I plant are slower to respond...
Runners? Let me run... The gnomes would be faster than me, and I have weeding to attend to.

I won't mow. Unless Mr. Gnome says I need to, of course!
