Where I Shop

Welcome to

First one shot from my favorite neighborhood,
Linden Hills, Minnesota.

our theme is
Where I Shop

We live in the country about five miles from quaint
little downtown Lakeville, a suburb of Minneapolis,
which is approximately 23 miles away.
But Lakeville also has a sprawling area along
Highway 35W that's called Uptown Lakeville.

This reconditioned building was once a bank, and through the years it has housed other business adventures, even a tailor's shop.
Currently it's

Mainstreet Coffee and Wine Bar
(later you'll see their outdoor seating area)

Artsy stuff!

This shop features lots of unexpected discoveries
for the hard to shop for person.

I'm a huge fan of window shopping, and not just for things to buy.  Most shops post various activities announcing what's coming to our little town.
The Wizard of Oz how cool is that?!

Just one of the several unique flower shops around town.

No waiting right now for a table at the Mainstreet Coffee and Wine Bar.

I like their mural too, it depicts an area in town.

"Christmas comes but once a year, starts in August ends in July."
Benny Bellamacina

Ha! Ha! Ha! Or is it Ho! Ho! Ho!

Now that Halloween is over and November is here, all the pumpkins have been put to bed and Santa and other Christmas time creatures are on sale!

"If the color of life turns grey, turn the palette the other way."
Benny Bellamacina

If it's a bit of cheer you're looking for, my grocery store in town
sells lovely flowers all year long.

So I hope you enjoyed a quick few shops from my downtown where I shop sometimes!

"Conquer your neighborhood,
conquer your city,
conquer your country,
and then go after the rest of the world
that's my mantra."
Grandmaster Flash
Just keep conquering!

Thanks for stopping in to say hello and enjoy your evening!

How sweet that we both live in country places with nearby small town and more remote city (San Francisco). We're country gals!

I am not a shopper (except for books and plants and essentials). These vistas tempted me though.

You've got some interesting shops along there! And I'm pleased to see there is a coffee shop/cafe included! Always a good place for a pause! Thanks, Karen.

Old bank buildings used to be so fancy. Now they tend to look like mall outlets.
