Take A Walk

Getting ready for our walk.

Welcome!

Look a stone gnome!

Our theme, take a walk
begins from across our deck.

You won't be seeing a snow covered deck this March!

(about three years ago, through the snow)
There's a crazy little shack beyond the tracks

and everybody calls it the Sather shack

well it's just our family's house and it's made out of wood

Look more happy stone creatures!

and we've been living here since 1989!

Wait, do I smell a bunny or is it a squirrel?

Even pups gaze off into the afternoon.
I wonder where his thoughts are right now?

I definitely know what Misty is thinking.

Stepping just a wee bit into the backyard I spy a birdie!

"In order to see birds it is necessary to
become a part of the silence."
Robert Lynd

Even if it's a decorated bird, it's still a birdie right?

"The days in which one has been the most inquisitive
are among the days in which one has been happiest."
Robert Lynd

Thinking we should continue this walk at Lake Calhoun later today, if the wind calms a bit. I'm curious to see what it looks like there right now.

"Everywhere is walking distance, if you have the time."
Steven Wright

Enjoy your day!

What a very lovely post Karen your furry children are so sweet, your real children even more so 😀 it's a nice feeling to be living in a family home for many years, we have been in ours for over 30 years, have made many changes over the years, both children grew up here, it's hard to imagine living anywhere else ☺

Thank you. I needed that. You find the best quotes and pair them precisely right! We are having a wind storm that took out the east side of my fence. *augh* Bill is in Canada. Stay safe! Hugs!

It's always great to go for a walk, and even better with a dog!

The schnauzer is extremely cute :)

I agree with Bob - walks need dogs (and vice versa!)
