Silly is as Silly Does or Capricious and The Nude

"In this life, all is evanescent. Live for the now."
Carlyle Labuschagne

This morning.
The planting of flowers in the rain
offers the best sort of watering ever.

The Nude Painting
A woman goes to a painter and says,
"Could you paint me in the nude."
"Okay," says the painter.
"But I might have to keep my socks on otherwise
I'll have nowhere to put my brushes."

"The history of the bow and arrow
is the history of mankind."
Fred Bear

"Our night brushed aside like cobwebs.
 Our day begins wound loosely
yet one twist or bend makes all the difference.
We reach back in memory
sensing the tighter webs
of lingering memories.
Before our last fleeting dream escapes our thoughts
slipping beyond the last of the fog,
those spectral and evanescent residues,
have faded beyond our reach, loosely."

"A consistent  soul believes in destiny,
a capricious one in chance."
Benjamin Disraeli

"A person does not grow from the ground
like a vine or a tree,
one is not part of a plot of land.
Mankind has legs so it can wander."
Roman Payne

People on earth
are everywhere.

Behind every new door something begins.

Buildings always seem to speak out for themselves.
The trick is to listen.

Pull up a chair.
Sharing lunch with an old friend
the more we share the more we have.

The circle of life.

There are always two sides to every window.

Our sweet friend Cloudia always shares the most beautiful of rainbows,
which I tried doing here.  It happened to be a double rainbow.  This photo only shows part of the strongest one.

May every path that greets you be as beautiful as each of you are.
We are strong, bold and brave.

Sometimes you just have to drop anchor and be wistful.

Thanks for stopping by
take good care of you.

Hello, I am glad your were able to plant your flowers. With the rain they will be watered. Great timing. Love the rainbow, I do not see them often. Great quotes and photos. Live for now, that is my motto. Enjoy your day!

Wisdom and beauty. Any day with a rainbow is a good day. And a double rainbow more than doubles the fun.

Interesting how the rainbow divides the light and the dark.

That Diana (on one foot with her bow and arrow} is a small version of the huge one on display at the Philadelphia museum of art, which once was a weather vane atop Stanford White's original Madison SQ Gardens in New York! It may be a study or model from the artists studio. St. Gaudens?

Treasure filled post that demands one linger - and even return to enjoy, Karen. A triumph!

What a great reminder to enjoy, be grateful for what we already have! Yes, those buildings! No more time or desire to stop time and ask questions? Thank you for the fresh view and inspiration to enjoy the world around us!
