Happy Critters on Saturday

No hour of life is wasted
that is spent in the saddle.

"A horse loves freedom
and the weariest old work horse will roll on the ground
or break into a lumbering gallop
when he is turned loose into the open."
Gerald Raftery

"In times of darkness remember to bring more light."
Or just spend more time with critters.

Carved or otherwise.

Welcome to

and who doesn't love goats?

"You have goats to be kidding me!"
Unbelievable how this came to be, and just for the record I wish it had been in my neighborhood.

It's not a home without fur-kids.

So Sunday I thought I'd catch some critters out and about on such a gorgeous day hoping by the time I ventured around town, the sunshine might join me. Well these photos pretty prove the sun stayed in hiding.

Truly, I wouldn't trade one single day in small towns.
I just ask for a bit of sunshine to lighten up my shots.

The Popcorn sales folks weren't even on duty. No popcorn for sale. Bummer.

"A place belongs forever
to whoever claims it hardest,
remembers it most obsessively,
wrenches it from itself,
shapes it, renders it,
loves it so radically that he remakes it in his own image."
Joan Didion

That pretty much explains my thoughts on my
enormous list of favorite places to visit. Sometimes we tell ourselves
stories in order to experience again that nostalgic sense that gives our life
so much meaning.
Long live the places that bring us life.

Yep, not even a duck wandered by my viewing area.

Although you'd never know it, but standing on this bridge I could hear a guitar player singing at a local hamburger spot right behind me.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing your comments
take good care of you.
