Shutdown- Seriously?

Thanks Gov. Dayton, nobody will see work being done at the Blacksmith's shop......

To Shut Down- or Not To Shut Down that WAS the big question on hand yesterday in the not so Grand state of Minnesota... Something is surely ROTTEN in our State of Minnesota.....as the current, for the moment grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, Governor Dayton shuts Down our State Government.

"What...."?
Yesterday I took two of my darling grands to Fort Snelling and we visited the Fort and especially Minnesota's First Governor Henry Hasting Sibley's fine house at Fort Snelling.....(trust me Sibley is rolling over right now) it's a good thing we got there too, because we got a bit of the 4th of July festivities.....yesterday....but today, the Fort is marked

CLOSED!

Due to our Government shut down.

It's quiet at Fort Snelling......today...but .........

Unfortunately, I fear we're going to see more and more of this. I'm glad you were able to get in before it closed. Love that last quote!

I remember a ruined vacation back in the 90s, as I looked to take off after Christmas for the desert national parks and Newt and gang closed the govt... I am so out of what's happening in America right now!

Snowcatcher Sadly you are probably more right than we want to believe...it is a sad day...that's for sure...and I wonder what happened to the Minnesota flag that used to be right here at the Fort.....hmmm...

Jeff- You are better off enjoying life around our glorious world...thanks for stopping by on your extremely busy world travels...love hearing from you...Take good care!

Snowcatcher - and Thoreau - are sadly correct.

So many cuts and services are not being improved... not in Canada anyways. What in the heck are our governments doing? Taxes go up, everything shuts down... the math just isn't right on this one.

I know!! Let's hire The Pied Piper to run all the rats out of Hamlin (aka government) and vote in some folks who aren't looking for power and riches, but just want to do the right thing for America's citizens.
