Thematic Photographic 158 - Made of Glass

It's a brand new theme  "Made of Glass" that Carmi shines upon us this week for "Thematic Photographic" and if it's made of glass....he wants to see it.  If you want to add yours or look at other people's glass go here
http://writteninc.blogspot.com/2011/08/thematic-photographic-158-made-of-glass.html

Hanging so lovely.......simply "Made of Glass" and inviting you to notice.......
Art arrives in pleasing fashion as well as tolerable ugliness but no worries it all gets replaced with new art sooner than later!

Can you spot what's glass?

Glass and friendship have something in common....they are both fragile.

We take pictures of things...and later see so much more......

Friendship,
is like
a glass ornament....

I was shooting for the hot air balloons and the bell, but the glass kept pushing it's way into my vision....

and just how are they the same......
Once,
it is
broken it can
rarely
be put
back together exactly
the
same way.

I have the perfect place to hang this glass-lamp....really.

If you have the wine...grab a glass......and pour.

I love the glass lamp - and the photo of the wine glasses is absolutely great! Such an unusual angle!

The glasses wouldn't have looked the same with wine in them. The number of times I have taken photos and cursed at windows only for them to enhance a shot dramatically.

A lovely range of objects settings and colours; who’d have thought that there was so much to see in glass? That glass lamp is highly unusual.

I'm really digging those balloons! This whole thematic is very aesthetically pleasing!

Love the balloons! Scrolling through the shots is like following your eyes around the room.

I love glass! There is a wonderful store here with the most interesting glass. I love to go in and browse around. Enjoyed browsing instead right here on your blog!

Lovely photos! I really like glass things - have stood for ages watching glass blowers at work. Thanks for posting these - I haven't really got anything for this theme :(

like most relationships that are broken, it's never the same. Very true.

Alexia- I Thanks! I just know in your lovely photos you must have a wonderful stain glass window (remember those darling crazy styled houses I just love that you posted before with the very different windows...oh yeah you have glass! ;)

Self Sagacity- so very true friendship and glass go hand in hand in so many ways!

The photos are awesome! I really like the comparison between balloons and glass. Gorgeous works of art and I love the venue made of glass, too.

Beautiful pictures, and I'll take that glass of wine too.
Windows can be a pain, mess up the lighting and all. But then, once in a while we're lucky like you, and get a great picture of the windows themselves.

Max- enjoy the wine always! Thanks I sure had fun taking all those photos....! Bet your first day of school is approaching soon? Good luck!

There is a studio by my house that teaches glass blowing. I've always wanted to give it a go...I'm just worried I'd inhale...YIKES!

That moved me, Karen. What a beautiful sentiment to accompany such achingly beautiful creations. As ever, you found a way to put your unique stamp on the theme. Can't wait to see what you do with "Vibrant"!
