Six Word Saturday - About moats and things

SIX WORD SATURDAY

HAVE YOU EVER
FLAGGED FOR TICKS?

I'm on a mission to solve the existence of ticks!  You know when a sweet, little (worried) faced child asks you, the all knowing (I wish) adult a question of such importance you have to try and answer it.

WHY DO WE HAVE TICKS ANYWAY?

SO IF YOU KNOW WHY TICKS, walk our earth, or anything about them please share it here!

I never met a tick, or knew anything about them until I became a mother! Lucky right? But, apparently these little beastly (blood hungry vampires if you will) have been around forever!

They've even built laboratories, in honor of tick solving, and this lab shows a moat built around the perimeter, across which ticks reportedly could not swim.

So, please give me your tick info, okay?
DID you want to play along too?

foxworthy had a great quote about ticks. He once said he really tried hard to play golf, but by the end of the day, he had spent so much time in the woods, that they spent all night checking for ticks!

Do you suppose Mr Jefferson allowed "daydreaming" in his busy world? If so I'm always fully occupied. Nice header photo Karen.

I can't say as I've ever gone flagging for ticks. Though I love what the guy is wearing for the outing. Looks like a lot of fun. (Maybe not.)

Max- He does look to be enjoying himself though. I wonder if that idea really worked? I know just being outside would be enough for me!

I haven't gone flagging for ticks but, over the years, I have removed a few from my dog. Horrid things (the ticks, not the dogs!).

Karen to me ticks are like fruit flies, always a mystery and difficult to get rid of... or was that the last two husbands? LOL

Cheers!

I don't know if I've ever met one before, unless they're the same as fleas then yes I have! I don't know why they exist, I think they exist for the animals or, spiders? Maybe they're food or, they help out in the ecosystem some way, I don't know?

The unseasonably warm winter will cause us to see a larger tick population this spring and summer. I've had three crawling on me so far this year.
I always wanted to be a chick magnet, but I'm a tick magnet instead....oh well ;)
