Thematic Photographic - 199

THEMATIC PHOTOGRAPHIC

Carmi's says our theme is "Got the Blues"
(my favorite color) and as always our theme can bend, twist and shout with anything we desire.

Is anyone thinking, "If only this were true?" Actually, it's an advertising ploy (imagine that) from a  house builder!

This is just one of their blue houses for your "Good Life!"

Have you ever noticed that many people living in blue houses often drive blue cars?

Then we have that other kind of unmentionable blue......

When someone might just be feeling a bit

under the weather, or some certain reason or factor might be embedded in their deepest emotions

"One feeling may be opposed by another feeling, but never by reason." - Gustave Le Bon

Would it be scary for a person with the blues to walk a tightrope?

Maybe not.....

If you shake yourself off, and pick yourself up and.....

Rise above it all,  "Without ("the sense of timing") great intelligence can be ineffective.  Coupled with strong will, it can carry a mediocre mind to the heights."  Sidney Hook

"Haven't we all cried our blues away at one time?"

Sometimes you just have to stand out (away from the blue crowd) and be yourself!

No matter who says what!

"Audiences like their blues singers to be miserable." - Janis Joplin

"Often we can help each other most by leaving each other alone; at other times we need the hand-grasp and the word of cheer." - Elbert Hubbard

a final thought for
Got the blues....

and join me on the veranda with a glass of cold lemonade!
(I promise I didn't use food coloring to make it blue!)

I hope you all have a great finish to the rest of the week
and that you might have something

relaxing and fun
planned for your weekend like
being un-wired and unworried
and absorb
life.
I know I will!

I think I like the boat shot best. :)

I laughed at the advertising board! A good shot! And the boat is lovely and peaceful.

I know all about feeling blue (and worse!) so I would like to enter wherever it was had that lovely stone plaque up!

Your shots are always good!

Lisa, I know I do too! Especially on one!

Gilly, thanks, my sister-in-law gave us that plaque, and it's always outside come rain or shine or even buried in snow...it's been welcoming all for about ten years now!

I want that blue house! Great pictures, I like the "Good Life for Sale" and the sad looking kid. Great set, and great words to go with them.

Great selection, and quotes - that last one looks so relaxing and peaceful - totally un-bluing :)

Karen, you forgot one of the most important "blues" CAROLINA BLUE!

I like your blues, Karen. Most are happy. Janis J. was my favorite singer until ...

I am playing along with the thematic post but I'm not sure where to tell about it except on a comment. Mr. Linky?

Also I'm not real sure how my blue fits, I think it might.

I don't have the blues, but being able to purchase the "good life" does sound enticing! Great photos and quotes. laurie @ http://dealingwithmyinnercritic.blogspot.com/

Jim very cool! I'll pop over and check yours out. Carmi doesn't do the Linky thing - just go to his Thematic Photographic for # Got the blues 199 and leave a link of your post in his comments! Then we can all see your link and check it out! I'm happy you're playing along too!

Sage, you are so right! Sorry, but hey you could bring some Carolina Blue over to TP! :)

Karen, this was a fun post & made me smile. I loved your shots, they set a mood, and now I am trying to find blue food coloring!

Peace to all who enter - so much better than 'Abandon hope all ye who enter here.'
Great quotes. Karen and a fun post.

The best blues for me Karen are depicted in your last shot, I love the blue, blue water. The blue house would be a nice welcome, but a blue vehicle, well that I'm not too sure about. Some things just shouldn't be blue, like the weekends, well unless it's the baby blue skies! ;-)

Enjoy!
