#203
Our theme this week is trans - port - ation!
Thank goodness for the people that value our means of transportation and discover the importance of putting it on display for all the world to view.
From within the Science Museum, South Kensington, London.
Transportation, isn't always about the ride/vehicle itself, but more about the journey and what's right at your closest touch!
Some of my most interesting transportation around London (besides my feet) was going on tours!
Ah yes, London does offer so many flavors of transportation within the realms of sightseeing!
Take a ride on the London Eye, or hop on a boat. Which ever form you take you'll be happy you did!
I'm sharing some oldies, but goodies, some from as far away as the South of France, England and Disneyland. But, Carmi has tempted the curious side of my photo taking adventures. Hopefully, I can scoop up a few new "transportation" highlights from around town, and have a second post!
Never fear the unknown - conquer it!
So many means of transportation are waiting just for us! The prosperous voyage of discoveries is always just around the corner, or just under our nose.
This man has the coolest job don't you think?
Transportation can have it's disadvantages. Especially being stuck in traffic, unless you ignore the mess and gaze out the window......
Public Transportation
What better way to travel on an adventure
and appear like a giant flower garden cruising through town!
Gare De Sete
The Railway station serving the town of Sete, in the Herault department of southern France. It is the eastern terminus of the Bordeaux-Sete railway.
Meet me at the station at half past three.
For me, I have a habit of taking photos of train stations. We just don't have enough in America.
A friend told me once, "You can go any where around the twin cities, Minneapolis/St. Paul Minnesota, in just an hour." Imagine how far you can journey on a train, or boat or plane!

Awesome set of photos, quite a variety of transportation modes. I love the stack of cars in the first one and the colorful, flowered commuter train.
Very good blog, love the picture of the tram.
Greetings,
Filip
Awesome collection Karen! I like that multi colored bus.
A great little essay! Where is the flowery train?
Is that stack of cars in the Scence Museum in S Kensington? I am sure I have seen it somewhere.
Jenny, yes on stack of cars (Citroens) my fave, it's a great place and a favorite to be photographed! Did you see a portion of the plane overhead? Flowers by creation of Montpellier, France!
Fantastic photos. I passed up teaching in Europe this summer, and you are making me regret it.
Ya I wish they would put more trains stations here in America. I like how D.C. has one that goes across town, much easier way to travel, wish we had that went across Houston. : )
Oh this is the best set of theme photos ever! I love the flowery train, and the car stack, but my pick is the trompe l'oeil guy on the ladder!
Thanks for brightening my day, Karen :)
Great post!
As always I love you photos and text.
Thanks for sharing.
Wish you a wonderful summer.

A friend of mine's dad bought two brand new VW bugs when they first announced they'd end production of them, back in the day.
Lovely pics, Karen. I have to say my favorite mode of transportation is taking a walk (with my camera, of course!).

You couldn’t ‘miss’ that flowery train:) Great set of pictures.
Good to see some pictures of London Town but where is that harbour with the boats. Now why don't we have trains as colourful as that?
Hi Karen,
a wonderful lot of means of transportation. You wouldn't happen to have a picture of a magic carpet handy, would you?
Love from Friko. Thank you for visiting my blog. I shall return.
TOO COOL!
i Love Train Stations.Even If not travelling myself, just being around travelers can be enough for me!
