Jenny from Saturday Centus is inviting autumn into our lives this week.
Our prompt is How beautiful leaves grow old
any style writing. any number of photos and up to 105 words.
OSMOSIS
Autumn speaks
of dead leaves, softly windswept
over
Summer's immense greenery
what once was a snug retreat
of dour amusement
suddenly-
autumn takes center stage
for ways of autumn
enter
with fallen leaves squatting
quietly around each other
quietly around each other
bathing in pale cold sunshine
against this wide porch
and
all our secret places come into view
as a biting wind blows a sour tune
through creaking trees
and rustling oaks
and welcome gates silently shiver
from gusts of wind
and surrender
once again
over taken by
wandering leaves
and an explosion
of knowing
how beautifully leaves grow old.

Hey Karen, thanks for your visit and kind comments. You were definitely waxing poetic this week. Nicely done. I love fall!

I posted my "fall" review over on my pal's site (http://jcphelps.blogspot.com/2012/09/pictures-with-color-r-mac-wheeler.html)
I think I may have to repost...since fall has to be enjoyed.
*grin and a wave*
