Thematic Photographic # 216 Fall Colors

THEMATIC PHOTOGRAPHIC

Carmi, from Written Inc. blog, has declared Fall colors as our theme, but as off the beaten path that Carmi and the rest of us enjoy going, he also said -

"Whatever it is, please feel free to take this theme wherever you'd like."

Falling upon a grassy parkland covered in autumn's gold with scurrying Knights in battle, one falls down.

Autumn time, the period from the autumnal equinox to the winter solstice.

How we can tell that autumn is upon us.....

Sun setting- shadows yawning-golden rays harvesting a fall day, and the loss of daylight begins.

Autumn's leaves whirling madly about in competition against summer's offerings- we all know what shall soon vanish.

Other signs of autumn among us...

Such sweet melodies drifting from the meadows....

As autumn paints leaves of gold and scarlet fruitfulness amongst summer's relics and brittle leaves stand tall.

There once was an enchanted forest that was lost in a storybook and knew not one real season-
until it skipped off the pages and came to life in a small town not far from here.

Another sure sign that autumn is descending, you notice not only the leaves are falling at the Minnesota Renaissance, but many trees can be found pulling up their roots and moving on.

For ways of autumn are upon us
entering with fallen leaves squatting
quietly around each other
bathing in pale cold sunshine
against this wide porch
and our days ahead.

I used to love Renaissance festivals in New England, and the changing of the leaves. One of these years, I will visit in the Fall. Thanks for the memories.

JJ you are so welcome! I'm still amazed over your recent post- wow, what a perspective indeed. The fighting Knights here were from Caponi's Art Park and their Medieval Fair!

Haha - who's that dressed as a tree?
Such a cool collection, as ever, Karen.

Karen another fantastic thematic post, I love the little house in the trees, how quaint!

The Renaissance sounds amazing. I was at one in Colorado when I was there a few years back and what fun!

Have a fantastic week! Cheers.

I'm glad you followed your way off the beaten path: these are delightful. Is that a guy in a tree costume? Man, that is too much (in a good way!)

I'm sorry I live on the other side of the Great Lakes: I'm guessing you would be a lot of fun to go on a photo walk with.

Carmi - thanks for the kind words! As a matter of fact yes, his is a live man walking around as a tree! How fun is that. Especially when he's just sitting there, (looking like a tree, well a fake one) and suddenly he speaks, or laughs, or just begins to move! Quite fun!

I half expected to see Red Riding Hood to appear as well, especially in your enchanted forest.

Good one! At first I thought those knights were little kids. Looks like fun. I like the front porch and flowers.

I truly find this a interesting subject. Never looked at this subject in this manner. If you are planning to create more articles relating to this subject, I definitely will be back in the near future!

You live a fun life! I'd love to just follow you around for a few weeks. I knew autumn was here today when I took my grandson on in the yard after his nap and the entire yard was already in shadows.

I loved the Renaissance Festival--especially the soup in a sour dough bread bowl and all the hats with feathers flourishing and the jousting of course. I am not a fan of Fall however--no matter how gorgeous the tree's last show. I know what's coming and it isn't pretty--well sometimes it is.
