Thematic Photographic - Grey

Carmi's theme this week is something most of us are still living with daily. Even most of our "whites" are showing up grey.

One swallow does not make a spring; neither does one fine day- Aristotle

Or, so it seems lately, because winter just won't go away.

Sunday, in Red Wing was even more grey than I thought it would be.  Yes, the weather crew had promised a bit more snow to fall.  You are looking at the eagle's winter retreat in Colvill Park, which is nestled along the Mississippi River and Colvill Bay.

A very grey colored white snow in this lighting, right?
I know my spirits have been more than grey.
Just what is more than Grey anyway?

Same park in Red Wing the weekend before, and we had sunshine on this day, but still winter persisted, and the following Monday morning brought another snow storm, with heavy winds.

Can you guess what this is?

Where did the boats go for the Winter? Empty marinas look a bit forlorn. No, I could not guess what the last pic was. What was it?

Intriguing final picture. Wire from inside a tyre or an unsprung metal spring?

Someone has to live north o I-20.

I'm just glad it isn't me.

Cheers, grey one.

Karen at least we're on the tail end of this nonsense, not the beginning! I finally got out of the city and does it ever feel good! I have no access to internet where I'm staying so no posts for a bit, a small price to pay! :-)

Beautiful photos, I love seeing the sunshine and these grey days will go away... I hope. Have an awesome week!

I love that first one - it made me think of a shot I have. Your grey days will end, as ours will begin!

The last one - no idea:(

The empty pier is stunning and I have NO idea what the last photo is, but it is certainly amazing in its composition!

Grey it may be, but I'll take your sort of grey any day. The images are stunning.

I think gray is a much brighter shade of grey.

That last one's got me. It looks like metal and glass, but not sure what.
Great pictures though, love the lake ones.

It all looks very beautiful- though I imagine that living through it you must be truly tired of it by now!
