Tricky Is As Tricky ...

Oh yes, hooray again!

I have just discovered how tricky the word verification makers are!

Many of you may recall when I posted that on the word verifications you don't need to type in those really hard to see numbers?

Well, now I see that they are mostly using word verification with two words, and the second often typed word is sometimes really long like the word, necessary.

Well great news!

I have been only inserting the first word and skipping the second word, and low and behold my comment goes through!  Magically! Try it and see.

I will try that - some of those word verifications are impossible to read!

Awesome, I no longer have to press my nose against my screen to make out the word! I'm going to have to give this a shot. ;-) Life just got cheaper if this works, I won't be buying quite so much screen cleaner! lol

You have been charged with giving aid and comfort to the enemy by publishing such information. We will be in-touch.

Many times I've tried leaving comments only to run into that word verification and stop. I see no reason for that word verification.
What's it suppose to prove? To me it says;
the blogger using it doesn't really care if they get comments or not.
Love your blog, Karen.

You are now officially our word verification debunker! Love the Escherian fence.

I've found that to work on some places, and not others.

I've been guessing that the settings for W.V. were "easy" and "not so easy". I could be wrong, of curse...

Funnily enough after your first breakthrough announcement I applied the principle myself to the two-worders and was delighted with the result. Sadly WV does seem to be creeping back in though. The tree pic is an attention-grabber.

I hope it works! I hate those verifications, but they are necessary in some cases.

WV always makes me think of wartime! Cracking The Enemy-codes!!!! If what you say is true (I will check in a minute) I need only be half-cracked in future!

Better yet, if people gave up word verification, they could post the posts they want and we'd all be happier! But I may try your trick ;)

Thanks, Karen, for dropping by and visiting me. You are so right, I looked at the link you sent me about City Poems and that is the bridge that I had photographed!!! I am updating my post with the info.

Good to know! It often takes me several tries to get my comment to go through. Sometimes I just give up. I'll try this and see. Thanks for the tip.

Karen, I've tested this out and it won't work for me on this end unfortunately. It's also looking like I might have to go with the word verification for a while, I deleted 4 spam comments off of today's post... grrrr!
