Six Word Saturday 28 September 2013

Thoughts on the subject of Happiness

SIX WORD SATURDAY

Where Cate has a share something of what's happening in our life, in six words.

WHEN AUTUMN MEETS A DETERMINED SUMMER

THIS IS WHAT SPEAKS TO ME

Sleepy little towns, along any lake, and my car rolling along at a pleasant pace.

Turn-of-the-20th-century treasures and nautical artifacts, a lost arrow-head found, and clasped in my hands.
If you're lucky ever-shifting sand dunes, (and buggies) remnants of the glaciers that once graced the landscape.

and nature calls, are you listening?

One of the lakes I grew up on.

Silver Lake Sand Dunes

As they say, between Silver Lake and Lake Michigan lie more than 2,000 acres of unspoiled, paradise and these delightfully, peaceful, (sometimes hard to walk in) ever shifting sand dunes, waiting, just for you.

Oh yeah, the grass grows long at home, but these are the days of summer one must gather quickly, before the snow begins to fall.

Northerners, enjoy what days of awe are left before, well you know that answer!

I am ready to come up!!! The red Jeeps reminded me of our mission/holiday in Hawaii way back when. We rented four red Jeeps for our stay in Mauii. They were really useful when we went to Lindberg's ranch.

Your first picture has my vote. That lighthouse seems to be a Christmas tree ornament laid there along the shore. Living there as lighthouse keeper had to be a dream.

Thank you, Karen,
..

They had dune-buggies during the last Ice Age? I did not know that!

Delightful pictures...and a good reminder to enjoy the time out of doors before the cold weather comes! I do love Autumn in all of its splendor though...but it always seems to go by too quickly.

Happy Saturday!
