Alphabe-Thursday - 8 January 2014

Let us all be of good cheer!

Alphabe - Thursday

In Jenny's class today we are celebrating the Letter H.  My word is here, as in, at or to this place of time, right now here, in my little world.

HERE

Here, sits a garden under the snow.

I never lose an opportunity of urging a practical beginning, however small, for it is wonderful how often the mustard - seed germinates and roots itself. - Florence Nightingale

Here is pure relaxation.

Every day stop before something beautiful long enough to say "Isn't that b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l!" - Alice Freeman Palmer

Here I am at the Minnesota State Fair!

Life is meant to be lived, and curiosity must be kept alive.  One must never, for whatever reason, turn his back on life. - Eleanor Roosevelt.

Here, is a trip to warmest of water, bravest of divers, and shimmering waves found inside in the right here and now.

How very little can be done under the spirit of fear. - Florence Nightingale

Here, is one tradition of winter decorating that lingers long into the year, for me.  Little scenes in various places all around our house; keeping spirits bright, especially with their little lights aglow when evening falls.

Happiness is a by-product of an effort to make someone else happy. - Gretta Palmer

Here, is just how my birdbath sits today.  Taken just a little bit ago.

Here you may guess that my little birdies wonder what the heck is going on?  If, that is, they ever come out of their hiding spots.

Thanks for coming by and leaving your nice comment. It has been awhile since I wrote a poem and of all subjects, huh?

Great post. It expresses my philosophy exactly. I try to live every day with a reason. Love the photos.

Oh...so many have snow. We would like just a bit to play in for a few days, but we cant seem to have the right conditions...precipitation when it is warm...and clear skies when it is 16 degrees. North Carolina is funny like that! Enjoy!

Your 'here' all looks like a great place to be - wherever it is found. I especially like the thought of a swim in warm water!
