Thematic Photographic - 277

So, what does this photo suggest in regards to Carmi's theme?

Well, do you think it's food?  Not entirely, but slightly possible.

Carmi, at Written Inc. delivers a photo each week
for anyone (yes that's you too)
that wishes to join in. This week's theme is,
In Another City!

So, whatever that means to you, post away.  But mostly, enjoy your visit back as you relive it!

In another city, is perfect for me, since it's something I frequently do.  Although, just know, usually each city is only a short drive from home.  Here are a few right off my cell phone.

Wild Rumpus Book Store, Linden Hills in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

A Winter tradition, visiting the Griswold's, where ever they may be!

Northfield, Minnesota

The Cannon River, Northfield, Minnesota.

This fall our family did travel to another city, destination Pleasant Grove, Michigan, and we drove through five lovely states to get there.  This is Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.

"When seeing a new place, I often think: I am going to come back here later-when I am rich, or when I have more time, or when I have a purpose, or when I am with someone I love--and do this right.  But it is self-deception.  More often than not, my feet lead me somewhere new rather than somewhere I've already been.  And as I sat at that window watching the train bore through the heart of China, I had a different, more probable thought, and I wrote it down: I better remember what this place looks like.  I will never be back." - Brad Newsham, All the Right Places.

So it goes for most of us, I'm sure.

Anyone remember how the old famous, historic spiral bridge appeared in Hastings, Minnesota? View it here.

As she stands this last fall, in Hastings, Minnesota.

Minneapolis, this last weekend, when spring was taking a short appearance smack in the center of one of our strongest, coldest and fiercest winters.

Call it a teaser, maybe.  But you see, I believe it's the quaint little visits, that mother nature every now and then shares with us,  that makes winter more enjoyable.

Thanks for stopping by and if you care to visit some other places as well, go here.

This is a really cool post. I agree, The Griswold's picture was a good chuckle! I remember the bridge, you talked about, too. Minnesota has had some interesting bridges.

The problem I have with book stores is that I rarely want to leave to see the rest of the city(ies) I' visiting. Many of the places I've been I am unlikely to visit again so photos provide the memories as I'm sure yours do.

Whoa, that canoe cracking through the ice/ceiling is just too cool.

It is impressive to see the construction of a bridge.

You have many interesting memories of cities you have visited. It's important to take photos because there's often a good chance you may never return. :)
