EVER HAVE THE URGE TO RETURN?

There I am in Red Rock Canyon outside of Las Vegas, Nevada!  Always an exciting adventure.

"There is nothing like returning to a place that remains unchanged to find the ways in which you yourself have altered."  Nelson Mandela

Red Rock Canyon!

Of course, one must stop there and take pictures.

P.S. I thought of Red Rock State Park, where I once made an impromptu stop and took pictures. But it is in New Mexico...still, same idea.

Often the urge, but rarely the energy or the cash! Google Earth has to be my window on the past.

We visit the red rocks every time we are in Vegas! Are you from WA? I am!

Turn the clock back, Karen? No can do :( You just need a little warmth, I take it?

This is a very thought provoking post. It is interesting how things change, but our perception also does.

Glad to hear it hasn't changed. It has been a while since we were in Las Vegas.

Now that I live in the house where I was brought up, I miss the city where I went to university, which is my second "hometown."

I like your photo.

Yes, but I usually leave it far to long to find the places unchanged.
