Six Word Saturday - 3 May 2014

Bottle's thoughts when, they choose life.

BRING ME YOUR TIRED, WEARY THOUGHTS

This, nearly ready for tomorrow's voyage.

Somewhere, somebody thought up the idea of putting a message in a bottle and sending it up river, or down, whatever the case might be.

Wash your troubles away!

The first recorded (according to Wikipedia) was around 310 BC and on the 8th of April of this year, the world's oldest bottle was discovered in the Baltic Sea link here and here.

Have you ever sent a message?

Imagine if we all sent bottles?

When I am blogging, I sometimes feel as if I were putting my message in a bottle and sending it into the unknown ocean.

love the idea that blogging is like sending off a message in a bottle!

We once found a bottle on the beach in the far North of Scotland. The message was in French, before the days when I studied hard to be fluent to live in France. I laboured mightily to write in French to the sender, and we corresponded for some years after that.

I've sent messages up in helium balloons, but never in a bottle. Now I want to.

Fantastic idea, and I'd include my email address to see who found the bottle, if it was ever found this is.

Love this! Enjoy your weekend Karen!

Great post Karen, loved the sunlight shining through the bottle. Wouldn't it be fun to do this. You hear of ones being found years ahead on the other side of the world.

One of the oldest known novelty. Wonder what was the container used in 310 BC. Nicely Karen!
