Good Fences #22 - 21 August 2014

It's time to show off some fences again!

Welcome to fences of the Renaissance, and Madrigals and vocal parts, actors, turkey legs, Artisans and so much more.

GOOD FENCES

I couldn't resist shooting some fences at the 2014 Minnesota Renaissance Festival last Saturday.  This year they're celebrating their 44th season so a good number of fences and gates are badly weathered and in dire need of paint.

Weathered and hungry for fresh paint!

Welcome from the Enchanted Forest.

Fairies only!

A mix of old and new wood here.  The Enchanted forest and Secret Garden have only been here for a few years.

You are now leaving the Secret Garden and this is the last of my Renaissance fences.

Write in such a way as that you can be readily understood by both the young and the old, by men as well as women, even by children.

The festal looks like fun. Lots of good fences, too. I especially like the metal ones with Gothic-like arches in the design.

Well, of course, I meant to write "festival" ---I'm a poor typist and then the auto-spelling thing takes over and makes my words into different ones. I wish I could turn it off.

Cool fences, is the Renaissance set up year round where you're at? That would make such a cool place for photo shoots once it's cleared out. Me and my photos eh? lol

I hope all is well with you, I'm loving my time off, but it's going to come to an end way too soon unfortunately but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do eh? lol

Cheers.

Back then, a fence wasn't enough, you needed a moot!

Isn't it considered rather politically-incorrect to refer to someone as being a fairy?

Jerry, oh heavens no, never incorrect at the Renaissance Festival, not ever! Hehehe!

How fun! Renaissance festivals are so exciting. Love that "weathered and hungry" fence. Somehow the faded paint is very charming.
