Autumnus

Welcome!

Please join me while I survey what's left of summer, with a dash of autumn settling across Minnesota ever so gently.

It's always time for rustic metal sculptures.  Suitable for all wind and weather, summer or winter, spring or fall it's always time to celebrate art.

Still holding on!

Just today, certainly not my last mow of the season, but almost.

Yes, as a matter of fact, we have fairies in Minnesota, and other Wee Little Creatures, that also need their own quaint little village.  One such place is just a sprint away from their own Apostle Islands on the south side of the pond.

Once the State Fair comes to a close, Football begins.

Don't chase the ball so long that you lose sight of your surroundings!

Devious plan, that's what it is when autumn attacks my poor little edibles with an early frost.

It just wouldn't be autumn unless there was a gracious and plentiful harvest to last all winter long and of course,  Minnesota's wild turkeys.

In closing-
It's quite surprising with the colder temperatures, and yes frost has fallen several times, and yet it's still a vibrant greenery all around, and just a mere handful of leaves have fallen so far, as yet.

Life is Great!

Life is indeed great.

Could you explain, for this Floridian, what exactly a frost is?

Just the right post for today. I especially love the welcome art in the first photo. I'm not ready for fall and like that pink flower, holding on for all it's worth! (Not easy when it's pretty brisk here!)

Silly, silly Mac! Count yourself very lucky, you want nothing to do with any frost! Although, one might lower your high temperatures at the moment.

Isn't this a wonderful time of the year? Loved your photos but sorry for your poor edibles :( And, I'm rather partial to fairies says I smiling.

We'll have the leaves changing, which will be beautiful. Before we get our winter freeze.

Nice turkeys!

This post is wonderful. You really captured the feel of this time between Summer and Autumn. I love the look of the metal sculptures. Of course I love the pumpkin and turkeys, too. We haven't hsd a frost yet, but we are getting closer.
