Vehicular Moments

Automobiles, transportation in general are a constant in most of our lives, in various ways.  We are, powerless without our wheels.

Interestingly enough, after searching for a vehicular photo for Carmi's Thematic Photographic theme, I realized each one had a story behind it!

Vehicular, powerful indeed.

How could I pass up the chance to shoot this?

This trucker had the Wells Fargo Stagecoach painted on his truck.

My favorite hunter!  Second year out.

Some stories better left untold!

Just last week from the streets of New Orleans!

Around the streets for the set of  N.C.I.S. New Orleans! (taken by my daughter)

Sometimes, our vehicles are banished for more important goings on!

Grab your camera!

So many vehicles are forever catching our attention!

And

Hey, I may look old, but I can still roll down the highway! Said the car to the little boy.

Last, but not least by any means at all!

Live from Wayzata, Minnesota.

My friend slowly but surely in a delicious, drinking fashion put this charming Isetta make-over together one wine bottle after another!  Yes, those are wine corks!

Love those, Karen. And Mr.G used to have a bubble car, like your last one (without the bamboo!!). Still had it when we got married, used to go all over the place in it!

Oh - several stories there. My personal favourites are the truck with the Wells Fargo coach painted on it, the 'oldster' and, of course, the Bubble Car (Isetta). That is just fabulous; the dedication is impressive. What I want to know is a) Does it float? and b) How's her liver?

Wow, this is a great collection!
Wehave only two bicycles, that is very uncomfortable... :-(

Whoa, Cousin It has covered his car in bamboo and now lives in Minnesota? Are there anymore Addams running around up there?

Um, is your daughter forbidding you from publishing the "good" pics? (LOL?)

Man, I really like that little cork-covered car. I think my goal is going to be to drink enough wine to cover one of my cars in cork.

You have some great captures here! You always have the best posts. I don't know how you do it! I really wish you had the Subscribe by Email option.

The owner must have bought enough wine to double the cost of the car! Super pics, Karen.

I totally want that car! It's a lovely piece of post-war engineering even without the unique exo-skin. But with it, it's completely off the charts.

So glad you shared this series, Karen. You have the coolest way of capturing the world around you!
