Good Fences On A Roll

"Some days nothing beats a really good drive." -

On A Roll taking the scenic route drive by shot!  Especially when it's -15 degrees outside!
(I stopped the car to shoot this!)

Preparing for take-off on a fictitious landing strip getting ready for

Any place that's warm! Take off! Up, up, UP! Destination warmer climate!

How about checking out the floating, frozen Lilly Pads, or Ice Pancakes floating along the Cannon River?

Only certain cold-weather (and spinning round and round) conditions form these sweet circles of frozen river water.

Just up the river is a quaint little cafe- it over looks the Cannon River

In the Misty moonlight! I had my birthday lunch here last May.  A beautiful day it was, minus the snow and ice and freezing winds!

On a whim caught my old green friend busy climbing trees and fences!

Then there was the drive to Franconia Minnesota and this photo in neighboring city Stillwater, a lovely river town!

Nice fence photos, and I don't think I've ever seen ice pancakes before. Cool! Stillwater is a favorite place to visit. :-)

Stillwater is such a nice name for a town. -15 sounds awfully cold - I'm not sure I could live in such cold climate again.

even here where the weather is warmer, i do some of my fence hunting 'on a roll' - have to because of narrow country roads and farm traffic. :) love those ice circles! they do look like frozen lily pads!

Off for the wild blue yonder!

Jamaica? Hawaii? Cuba, someday?

Nice series of photos. I wondered about the lily pads in a frozen river.

Kilroy you're so silly. It's more about the blog host, Theresa I believe than just fences. But it's also a neat way to get folks out shooting and catching captures we may otherwise never see!

Hi Karen, really beaut of you to visit my blog.
Wow, you've done some serious fencing here with your pics. They're great.
Also, I just love your little green friend in the Santa hat... so cute :D)

Some rivers in the UK have frozen 'lily pads' recently. Apparently detergents in the water have helped in their formation. Neat little plane.

Love the frozen 'pancakes'! We had some at a local waterfall here in WV this past week. Not usually so cold here. :)
