In the Wind - Good Fences

What's that flying in the wind?

"Always try to keep a patch of sky above your life." - Marcel Proust
No matter how fierce the wind blows.
Or how hard it bites against our face, with -25 wind chills, this week.

This something seems to be hanging on a rope.

Could it be a message on a rope?

Wait for it, here it comes again.

I just had to hang such a sweet Valentine from our 5 year old grand-delight-daughter, Lyra.

She made it just for us.

The giving of love is our truest gift.

"Let us be grateful to the people that make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom." - Marcel Proust

Lyra's quite proud of how she can write her name in cursive, but she admitted that "I don't like Kindergarten because, I just can't read cursive letters."

Grandchildren are as close as our hearts alright. They are precious. Mine are all grown up but they still remain close to my heart. That never is a miss.

Love your pictures. Heartwarming.

Precious times!
I never thought how wonderful being a grandparent could be until it happened. "I made this for you Grandma" - sweetest words ever heard. :)

In my book, you win top fence of the day, Karen. Love this. Such sweet Valentines! Yes, it's cold here, minus 22 this morning, but I bet it was about that at your place too this morning - after all, we're kinda neighbors. :-)

Grandchildren are such a joy ... and your little Lyra stole the show. I had to go back to look at your fence ... didn't even notice it while looking at your valentine:) She is just a little impatient ... she wants to read cursive now ... but when she does learn it, she will appreciate it that much more because she has worked so hard at it. Lovely post, Karen ...

Great message on your fence. I'm highly impressed that she knows what cursive writing is - we only ever learnt it was joined up!
