Monday Morning and Phil

Good Monday Morning!  Or, as the principle announced, "Happy Monday!"
Just know,  he says Happy before every single day of the week.

This Monday also brings Punxsutawney Phil live from Gobbler's Hill to inform us when spring will arrive!  See his answer here.

I was born on a Monday morning, although I really don't recall any of it.

But this Monday is happy, because our sun is shining.

Of course because, it's Ground Hog Day.

Even Rusty is catching sun rays.

"Many years ago in a period commonly known as, Next Friday Afternoon there lived a King who was very gloomy on Tuesday mornings because he was so Sad thinking about how unhappy he had been on Monday and how completely Mournful he would be on Wednesday."
- Gaelic Proverb

I'm still wondering what his thoughts were for Thursday?

Drive by shots from my vehicle this morning.

Pretty much like a ghost town around here.

Where are all the people?  Why aren't they outside enjoying the morning's frozen air?

I almost beat this train.

Notice the morning shadows!

The sun has just come out here after we got a big dump of snow overnight!

Yep, the sun is out here and for sure we're getting at LEAST six more weeks of winter. Frosty is looking very happy about that!

Theda was repositioning herself for sun rays throughout the afternoon in the living room yesterday, too.

A great collection of photos. Everything looks better with a little sun and shadow. :-)

I always love the long winter shadows reflecting off snow (and of course the old train station touched my heart)!

I'm not fond of ground hogs, but I love dogs. What does Rusty say about winter?

We had a ton of snow last night -- but such lovely sun today that I almost didn't mind!

43 degrees in Tampa this morning. That is cold enough for a Floridian to fall on the ground and flop about. We're talking serious cold. Bad things could happen. Millions could come down with the croop. Birds could fly further south. The whole economy could plummet. I'm telling you. This cold front is horrible.
