A timely post. I've sung the National Anthem at a few Memorial Day gatherings. Some people find it difficult to sing, but I love its dramatic vocal range, the words, and the emotionality of it. America The Beautiful is a lovely hymn, but I hope our National Anthem is never changed to it as some have suggested.
