Bedazzled

THE GOOD.

The Good was seeing artwork designed by David Cook, aka the Flower-Bomber at the Minnetonka Theater Art Gallery.

Just a glimpse of his work.  Another post will follow soon.

This collection of David Cook is leading up to the fun, which follows, randomly and is completely off topic for a moment, with nearly an equally colorful subject, our weather.

The Random.

The weekend proved to be a mix of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, weather-wise.

Our weather traveled so many directions this last weekend and was mostly quite rewarding.  Except for the torrentinal rain falls, oh and the "snap, crack, POP!" which occurred at my son's house.

Yes, that's my son playing lumber-jack man after one of their gigantic old trees-

didn't fare so well through Saturday's nights storm.

While it's incredibly sad, at the same time they can thank their lucky stars it didn't hit/hurt the house, shed, fence or neighbor's yard.  Even the grill underneath that fallen, enormous branch is perfectly fine!

Oddly enough, earlier on Saturday, we had quite the hiking day for all.

Ready for some fun?

THE FUN.

Meanwhile, on the other side of town Sunday was the final show for Lemonade for the Lawnboy  ...the musical.

Here is David Cook with two of his dazzling, lady creations, just two of his characters from deep inside his head and detailed throughout his book.

Of course, the best fun ever was arriving early before such a delightfully quirky musical as such and catching up with David himself!  Can you see my excitement right?!  This creation of his between us is one of my favorites.

There were live characters dressed equally festive in the musical!

(just one review of the musical)

Of course we must finish with one spectacular lawnmower right?!

That's it for now.  Thank you for stopping in! Have a wonderful week.

Hello Karen, wow so much happening here. I love the quote and the photo of your hiker companion. The David Cook artwork is fun and quirky. So glad you were able to meet the artist and get your photo with him, cool! I am glad the tree did not do too much damage, no one was hurt and the house, fence and important stuff were safe. What a great post,Have a happy day!

A busy weekend. Your son needs to be safe with that ax in a tree (I've used a chainsaw up in a tree and you also have to be careful, but I think you'd be less likely to fall)

Sorry about the tree, good fortune that it didn't break anything!

Well that certainly looks like a fun week. Lucky about the tree branch. My cousins in Conn. had a giant tree branch fall in a recent storm and knock out their shed and part of their deck.

You had a fun time despite the rain & the tree branch! It was a miserable weekend here!

A wonderful variety of photos here Karen. I enjoyed very one of them. Thank you so much for your sweet comment for my father-in-law. He appreciated your kindness very much.

Lots of fun, colour and luck in this post.

Wonderful post, except for the tree falling down. I had all the trees in my yard taken down two years ago because I was afraid one would fall on my house.

I'd enjoy seeing the David Cook art in person. What fun! Good thing the branch didn't damage the house!

I am glad no serious damage was done by that fallen branch.

'Flower-Bomber', that's a nice occupation! I'm glad you met the artist himself, that must have given greater meaning to his art. And I'm glad that that tree didn't hit anything valuable. Luckily I don't have large trees in my garden (but then I also haven't got a large garden).
