Saturday Critters

Good morning critter friends and thank you, Eileen for hosting this critter extravaganza, that brightens my Saturday mornings.  At first, I was a long time commenter, before I began posting my own critters too!

My what big ears you have my dear.

"What sculpture is to a block of marble, education is to the soul."
Joseph Addison

What are you holding?

Goodness, your hooves are made of gold?

That's not all that's gold either.

"Sculpture is the art of the hole and the lump."
August Rodin

"Sculpture is like farming,
if you just keep at it, you can get quite a lot done."
Ruth Asawa

"Art is doing. Art deals directly with life."
Ruth Asawa

Stray bear in town!

"Never a good sign, he thought, when the crows showed up."
Justin Cronin

You've seen his eyes earlier this week here, now the full body look!

Now I'm off to check out all the other critter posts.  Enjoy your day.

Hello Karen, I am always happy to see your comments and your post. I love all these cute sculptures. Especially, the first big eared critter. And the stray bear is a cutie too. Great post and critters. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Have a happy weekend!

I love the quote about farming and sculpture. Very witty. That first sculpture is rather different if a little weird.

I am always in awe of those who can think and create in three dimensions. I've barely mastered the stick figure, so it's quite something to see the work of sculptors who can see the potential within their imaginations, then make that potential come alive for the rest of us. Amazing - and you've captured it so wonderfully here.
