This Land, is Their Land

"Summer has filled her veins with light
and her heart is washed with noon."
C. Day Lewis

"One swallow does not make a summer,
 but one skein of geese,
cleaving the murk of March thaw,
 is the spring." Aldo Leopold

Funny, it's always in August that my soul begins to recall,
wasn't spring just yesterday?

We're off to see-

As one merry group of geese take to the water another arrives to follow.

I'm so glad you stopped by.
Enjoy your day, don't just exist! Explore. Thrive. Be happy!

As a kid, seeing geese were a rarity, now they're common place and everywhere (along with their poop)!

Spring was just yesterday. But there are still plenty of butterflies out there, and I love the fall, too.

Hi Karen,
I think Woody Guthrie would be proud of your post for the nice title, the many beautiful quotes, and the photos of many a feathered friend.
And, I like your conclusion as well - "Enjoy your day, don't just exist! Explore. Thrive. Be happy!".
I wish you lots of happiness and health also.
Have a Wonderful Week!
Peace :)

Canada geese are the bane of some folks lives...not me- I like them and hear them every morning when out watering just when the sun is rising! Cheers!
