Thyme by the Bay and Critters

Welcome to
SATURDAY'S CRITTERS

All paw-hands hoay!

Avast ye!

I am Matey, all paws on deck too, but my parrot ate my hat!

About the first day on her job in Alabama
fellow employees asked my daughter to pick a side!
(they are big football fans)

With a zillion more important things on her mind,
she's still undecided.
Bravo.

For me, I'd lean to the name Crimson Tide,
just the idea of a crimson tide sparks my imagination.

"The painter constructs, the photographer discloses."
But, to me the writer draws.

Say hello to big Al mascot for
Alabama Crimson Tide

"The camera makes everyone a tourist in other people's reality
and eventually in one's own."
Susan Sontag

Alabama
Words, draw visions through our thoughts,

"There's a man with a cart who sold me rolls
sprinkled with thyme and sesame
every morning and then saluted me like a soldier.
Diana Abu Jaber
and
"Let the beauty we love be what we do.
There are a hundred ways to kneel
 and kiss the ground."

"My library is an archive of longings."
(never stop longing)
and
"I haven't been everywhere
but
it's on my list."
Susan Sontag

So what's on your list?

Take good care of you and your dreams!

I was talking to a neighbor who had just spent $4k on surgery for her dog. "I like dogs a lot more than people," I said. She guffawed. "Oh, yeah. People annoy me."

Hello, Karen! I love the sweet dogs and their photos. The kiddies on the beach with the gulls is awesome too. The last quote is a favorite of mine. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Satuday, enjoy your weekend!

This is such a cool post for so many reasons. Yeah, I have and will spend money on my dogs & cats. People tend to annoy me, too. When I was younger, I was a dental asst. for awhile. I decided it was a lot more meaningful to be a vet tech, so did that instead. Have a great weekend.

P.S. Now I have Deacon Blues, by Steely Dan going through my head.

Dreams are precious things aren't they? Something we should all have, savour, look after...

The beach was a freedom shot...I could get lost in that scene.

Have a blessed weekend.
