Blooming Snowflakes

Pretty sure I'm not the only person wondering why March always has a way of bringing so many storms just when we're all dreaming of spring.  Why is that?

So on the positive side-

Have you heard
 The extraordinary
sound of
Snowflakes?

Unless you stand outside in the cold,
you'll never really know.

Have you ever wondered what do
Snowflakes and thoughts have in common?

Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things.
But just look what they can do when they stick together.
Vesta M. Kelly

At first snowflakes gather like this.

One by one.

and sometimes this is what they create flake by flake.

Isn't this gigantic amount of snowflakes really full of themselves?

Poor little snowflakes I know.

I think somebody stood outside too long in the cold.

Thoughts begin to gather like snowflakes when I encounter art!

There's something about rocks
gathered across the floor in playful art don't you think?

Simple things bring lots of thoughts.
Did you catch the flags in the photo below?

Great things in business, or anywhere else for that matter
are ever done by just one person.

We all have stories.
Stories are a communal currency of humanity.
Tahir Shah

There are so many things we can have in this world
but only 10 percent of it changes the condition of someone's heart.
Shannon L. Alder

Sometimes reality is too complex.

Life is like balloons.
If you never let yourself go
You will never know how far you can rise.

We have five basic senses. Touch, sight, hearing, smell, and
what about taste?

We're always enriched by forgotten memories, especially when sights and scents remind us of delicious food that began from our past
and delights us today.

Be careful what you don't wish for.

Artfully sweet!

One word frees us of all the
weight and pain of life: that word is love.
Sophocles

Unless,
it's one of those words
that burn your tongue
 the moment they're spoken.

Ah did you know this,
The richness of life lies in memories we have forgotten.
Cesare Pavese

"The words that strike us are those that

awake an echo in a zone that we have already made our own.
The place where we live
and the vibration enables us
to find fresh starting points within ourselves.
Cesare Pavese

At least once, but more if possible!
The only joy in the world is to begin.
Cesare Pavese

Thanks for stopping by
your thoughts always brighten my day.
Take good care of you.

Love your thoughts and attitude.
And summer is finally showing signs of leaving here - so perhaps your winter will too.

We got a wind storm last week. Knocked out our power for a couple of days and caused a little damage. Could've been worse though.

I enjoyed this post and the many quotations. Love the photo of those brave little Minnesotans in the snowbank. Although every other year I've thought of March as a liar, this year I'm embracing it because of its proximity to April. I've decided that February is the wilderness of winter and it felt like forty years rather than 28 days. Have you noticed how far north the sun is?

I try to change the condition of someone's heart every day. That's my job.

Beautiful photos today, Karen. I especially love your opening image.

And yes, we got snow too -- snowing now. So ready for it to be over!

I'm ready for spring and can gladly wait until next year to see more snowflakes.

You may keep the snowflakes but you could have fun painting all those rocks and hiding them as the Yarm Rocks Group does.

Ditto what Cloudia said 😀 Karen as much as your winter seems never ending, our summer is the same. We are officially into autumn but it is hotter than it was in summer.. so not appreciating it 😁

Hello Karen, what a great post. I love the images. I have had enough of snowflakes, looking forward to some colorful blooms. I like the balloon quote.
Have a great day and weekend!

When I come here, I always know it’s going to be fun! Like the little girl with the balloons, that’s my face!
