Phenology

Phenology has been slow to begin with winter's grip, a day of
spring, and back to winter until finally, I do believe spring.

I hope you enjoy my photos from yesterday
to celebrate "World Book Day"
in Linden Hills at Wild Rumpus Book Store
and around Lake Harriet.

I still believe-

"You can't wait for inspiration.
You have to go after it with a club."
Jack London

Life belongs in the fields,
on any avenue, in the ponds, on the mountains, sailing on a lake,
sharing earthly tokens and by the seashore.

Yes there are still remains of ice and snow.
Give it a few days, it'll be history once and again
spring will prevail.
Also, not one duck in sight.

"No winter lasts forever
no spring skips its turn."
Hal Borland

Phenology
(the recording of natural events)

"For anyone who walks the woods and fields
and wants to learn about living things
he has often looked at but never seen."
Hal Borland

Happy World Book Day

"When legends die the dreams end.
When the dreams end there is no more greatness."

We are the music makers,
and we are the dreamers of dreams.

"Great minds discuss ideas.
Average minds discuss events.
Small minds discuss people."
Henry Thomas Buckle

Peace is more than the absence of war. Peace is accord. Harmony.

"Harmony with land is like
harmony with a friend;
you cannot cherish his right hand
and chop off his left."
Aldo Leopold

Remember,
Every day you play with the light of the universe."
Pablo

I really do appreciate all you visits.
I hope this post finds you all enjoy life by every moment.

After a week in south Florida, it feels a bit cool to be back in Georgia, where the blooms are dying out and the trees are all green. Great quotes and photos. I remember spring up north, it could also be called mud :)

Haha... um... that sounds like the librarian's version of eat, drink, and be merry! ;-)
