Shovel Destinations

My post today could be a travel guide to snowy places in Minnesota, and truthfully pretty much everywhere else in the Midwest as well. But what fun would that be right?

My world as it is today
and those things we do!

The sky was dark and gloomy,
the air was damp and raw,
the streets were wet and sloppy.
The smoke hung sluggishly above the chimney
tops as if it lacked the courage to rise,
and the rain came slowly and doggedly down,
as if it had not even the spirit to pour.
The Pickwick Papers

....and then it snowed again.

I wish I could watch these birds and ducks all day long!

"Methinks that the moment
my legs begin to move,
my thoughts begin to flow."
Henry David Thoreau

Snowflake by snowflake
adding up every other day
very few melt away.
Here's to another backache
shovel, shovel.
Oh for Pete's sake!
Who doesn't love a snowy landscape?
Just not in April.
For the love of Pete!
Stop!

The most beautiful experience
we can have is the mysterious.
It is the fundamental emotion that stands
at the cradle of true art and true science.
Albert Einstein

My, my, me oh my, I love pie!

"We must have a pie.
Stress cannot exist in the presence of a pie."
David Mamet

"If you remain humble,
people will give you love and respect
even after you have finished the game."
Sachin Tendulkar

One small positive thought in the morning
can change your whole day.

A bit of morning black ice slows things down.
Thankfully not one spinout!

There's Gnome place like home!

There are memories that time does not erase.
Memories warm you up from the inside.

Live for moments you cannot put into words.

We know it must be spring somewhere,

but that's okay we can still

JUMP and MOVE and GROOVE!

Once Upon an Evening out!

"Once upon a time
there was what there was
and if nothing had happened
there would be nothing to tell."

"Every past used to be a future
once upon a time."
Munia Khan

Thanks for sharing your time with me
take good care of you!

We continue to have unseasonably warm weather, while you endure the opposite.
Some world-wide weather moderation would be very welcome.
Thank you for your always positive attitude.

Hello, I am tired of cold days. You can keep the snow too. I love the shot of the Bald Eagles, they are enjoying the carcass meal. Cute shots of the kiddies. Good morning, have a great day!

when you described Minnesota, you could have been describing new jersey!! your snow is beautiful, freshly fallen, virgin snow!!

duck hunting/watching adventures must be quick as the temperatures are so cold. soon it will be too hot to sit lakeside. we are expecting 80 degree temperatures this weekend!!

awwww, once upon a time, good that you have indoor events to enjoy!!!
