A Critter Thing

Who's Who in Critterville?

Are you a happy critter?

"Everything on earth has a purpose,
every disease an herb to cure it,
and every person a mission.
This is the Indian theory of existence."

Welcome to

SATURDAY'S CRITTERS

Comprehend a little mystery of this, each day.

"We're curious, what animals originated in America?"
So let's google it.

They did.

(and they learned that)
The U.S. has many distinctive indigenous species found nowhere else on earth.

Wow, that's cool!

The American Bison
They are also the national mammal of the United States.

Their young minds always impress me every time they ask questions, when and every single time they pick things up, notice something new, experience things they've never seen before, don't understand, and so, they ask you to explain.
Yes, followed often by the ever constant, why?

"The important thing is not to stop questioning.
Curiosity has its own reason for existence.
One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity,
of life, of the marvelous structure of reality.
It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this  mystery each day.
Albert Einstein

I love this face. He has a heart of gold. Truly.

As a matter of fact I am working out.
On taking a nap.

It's been a busy week with my son's animals.

They love (miss) their humans, while they vacation in Florida.
So it's up to me to keep the animal party rolling.

Game time!

"When you want to understand why we humans do what we do,"
Ask a dog, as the cat will take time to meow (think it over)

Just say the word TREAT!
110% response.

That look a cat gets when,
They want to sink their teeth into a tasty treat!

The wonderful world of life through the eyes of a cat.

The hidden life of animals.
How they communicate.
What they feel.
Each display their own individual character.
Oh how smart they are.

"Always be yourself.
Unless you can be a Llamacorn
Then always be a Llamacorn."

"There is no perfection only beautiful versions of brokenness."
Shannon L. Alder
(although cats and llamas would disagree)

"I have seen a look in dogs' eyes,
a quickly vanishing look of amazed contempt
(wait are sure this isn't a cats' eyes you speak of?)
and I am convinced that basically dogs think humans are nuts!"
John Steinbeck

Misty's selfie.
(with a bit of assistance)

Is Misty dreaming of shore fishing
or ducks in the water?!

Ducks of course.

"The things that one most wants to do
are the things that are probably most worth doing."
Winifred Holtby
We are lonesome animals.
We spend all our life trying to be less lonesome."
John Steinbeck

No Llamacorns were hurt in the making of this post
but a true Unicorn thought she'd better get her photo included too!

I hope you're all enjoying the weekend
take good care of you and enjoy!

I hope never to lose my curiosity. And know I will never lose my love of critters. Despite generations of cats telling me how inferior I am.

Those are lovely animals. Your son is lucky to have you pet-sit them, and I'd say you're lucky to have them to pet sit!

Wow that Bison is huge. I didn’t realise it was the national animal of the United States. Thanks for sharing.
