Sail Away With Randomness and Critters

Sail away with me.

"She stood in the storm
when the wind did not blow her way
she adjusted her sails."
Elizabeth Edwards
and when that didn't work she got herself a dog or two.
Or four.

"My humanity is bound up in yours,
for we can only be human together."
Desmond Tutu

Say hello to Emme and Bugsley my oldest son's dogs are here for 7 day visit.

Bugsley pictured below just a pup became Karina's very own dog when he was just 10 weeks old! You may remember him from my last post riding in a kayak!

Karina and Bugs
about ten weeks old.

This week!
The joy of having these two outweighed any rough spots.
One pup mixed with a dog and two older dogs..... well.
Bugsley and Emme
first day here.

We're enjoying seven days and seven nights
 of their joyful company.

Bugs is center stage. Always.

Just a few random little moments in life
where it's the simple things that mean the most.

Something about the way she moos
attracts me like no udder.

Can you see me in this photo?

I've got my kitty eye on you!

"A person is a person through other persons;
You can't be human in isolation;
you are human only in relationships."
Desmond Tutu

Do your little bit of good where you are;
it's those little bits of good
put together that overwhelm the world.
Desmond Tutu

"I believe in the simple things
the classic beginning of once upon a time,
that good conquers evil in the end, fantasy and fate.
My life is that of wondrous enchantment,
a place of endless possibilities and dreams,
where inspiration is found in the oddest of places.
I aspire to inspire, and someday I will change the world."
Andrew Kendall

The Simple Things

A few highlights from Missouri
the Show Me State.

Splash, splash do your thing water fountain.
Not far from The Plaza Shopping Mall Kansas City, Missouri

So many solid gold memories from my childhood when my family packed up the car and we'd drive from Michigan to Arizona to visit my grandfather.
These trips and especially traveling along Route 66 are still etched in my memory for a lifetime.

The Chain of Rocks Bridge Route 66
St. Louis Missouri, now a foot bridge.

When you have the urge to do some serious rocking!

Here I am on my last trip to St. Louis with the Arch in the background.

Thanks for stopping in to say hello your comments mean the world to me.
Thank you.
Take good care of you.

Love that sweet kitty photo. Bugs and Emme are both adorable. Dog-sitting can be a simple pleasure and a joyful thing. I love all the quotes especially Desmond Tutu's "do you little bit of good". We can all do that...I believe in the simple things. I would like to take a road trip along RT 66. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Enjoy your day, have a great new week ahead. PS, thank you for the comment and visit.

I wish I knew the old 66 bridge in St Louis is now a footbridge. Does it cross the Mississippi? And I love your opening poem and the sailboats! I did get back out on the water last week for an afternoon of sailing.

"something about the way she moos, attracts me like no udder". that is soooooo funny - it reminds me of the famous song "theirs a bathroom on the right". i think i was an adult when i found out there was no bathroom, and only a "bad moon", who needs that!!

dog babysitting must be a blast...bugs and emme are just adorable...the sailboats are colorful and beautiful!!!
