Wistaria or Wisteria and Critters

Happy Birthday America!

"We must be free not because we claim freedom
but that we practice it. Happy Independence Day!"
William Faulkner

"It was a summer of wistaria. The twilight was full of it and of the smell of his father's cigar as they sat on the front gallery after supper...while in the deep shaggy lawn below the veranda fireflies blew and drifted in soft random."

William Faulkner

Wistaria or Wisteria? I get stuck on things like that.
Curiosity, and Faulkner's unique writing style.
in short he preferred wistaria over wisteria.

to wonder and stand rapt in awe
is as good as dead;
his eyes are closed."

In life we have two choices really.
Wait for that special day
or celebrate every day as special.

Thanks for stopping by your visits mean the world to me.
Take good care of you.

Huge thanks.
I try and find the special in every day - and celebrate it.
Much as I like and admire Faulkener's writing I lean towards wisteria - and would prefer its scent to that of a cigar.

how fun to see the Swedish "Dalahäst" among your photos. Saying "Hemslöjd" on it.
