Curiosity Critters and Character and County Fair

SATURDAY'S CRITTERS

and City Daily Photo

Welcome to a day at the county fair with me.

If only life could be more like the fair, am I right?

All photos today are from the Dakota County Fair 2025
and Dakota City Heritage Village located on the fairgrounds.

Dakota City is where the past is present.

County Fairs are a beloved tradition, (reaches back to my childhood in Michigan) and it always brings folks together.

If you've never spoken to a goat, you should try it sometime.

Taking on the storm and then watching it pass by.

will we discover the infinite power of our light."

This lovely cow was actually responding to my chit-chatting.

It wouldn't be a true county fair

without musicians singing their heart out at the fair.

Rides aren't just for children.

Enjoy the ride of life.

On the subject of goats, they are my favorite county fair animal.

I've always loved goats and surely it has a lot to do with each and every one of them is different, personality wise, and of course they're also goofy and playful.

And by the way a farm is not complete with a goat. If you want to learn more about goats just ask a 4-H member to tell you.

"The goat doesn't fear change; it embraces

 the unknown with open arms."

If the world seems cold to you, stop and talk to a goat.

Hello sweet face.

"The lust of a goat is the bounty of God."

Speak your mind. Be you. Make good changes.

This garden is real, and the costumed actors create delicious dishes from the good old days in the kitchens.

"Always give without remembering and always receive without forgetting."

These are photos from Dakota City and the jail, bank, houses, churches every single building was brought here with description from nearby cities.

I'm so adorable I'm in this blog twice! Did you notice?

Neighboring school choirs perform inside this church especially during the month of December.

This old gas station used to be in Lakeville, Mn. originally.

I know who really needs one of these?
