Thematic Photographic 157 Rough

Literally ROUGH

Once upon a rock garden.

Once again it's time for "Thematic Photographic" and Carmi has offered "rough" as our theme for photos  BUT!  As never before ( that I've roughly seen) other than occasionally saying you could assist the aid of your mother-in-law to the mix ......this week Carmi has asked us to view rough more literally than figuratively..............and so here are my rough photos presented as Carmi requested, literally!

Okay Rough and ready here we go.......................

Ah the slightly rusty, severely rugged old rough beams so crudely displayed......

Harney Peak in South Dakota, at the very top without a flashlight and evening was falling fast.

Rough when viewed literally is well simply: jagged, rugged, uneven, irregular, bumpy or coarse....and not really pretty or stunning so next I offer rough................and a bit more.....

....of place, or location along with a few pounds of craggy and jagged with a touch of stormy.....along a rugged terrain....

A slightly scratchy, crude, unpolished but approximately uneven ruggedness naturally bumpy in places, but with a streamy likeness of is that a babbling brook?

Okay sticking to the program....how about a real wooden finish to rough?

This wooden display of rough is rugged and unpolished and coarse to the touch, but to the eye, quite lovely.
I hope you didn't get scratched or bruised viewing any of these, but if you have some of your own roughness to share, or you just want more..... go here

It’s funny how we’ve turned to the landscape for our inspiration (and avoided the assistance of the Mother in Law!) I’m inclined to the wooden structure- Woebegone - like Garrison Keillor’s?

Rocks, wood and water are making appearances on several posts this week. Camp Woebegone must take a prize for a photo of the week.

oh yeah sort of like Garrison Keillor's but this one is in Copper Harbor, Michigan... Carmi is really getting his rough photos as requested!

Love the rough exterior, and the name of, Camp WoeBeGone. And it would be a rough fall off those rocks into the water. Great pictures, as always!

Wonderful shots of rough Karen, shot 5 is my favorite with the water running between the rough rocks.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Karen,
I love your blog and the sepia photos.I have never heard of ice boating? When I see old photos I can't help but want to write a story about the people...

The two first photos look such totally different rocks - the first looks like a sandstone, and the second maybe a granite, definitely a hard rock! Am I right?

But you do have some interesting rock photos there - definitely rough, too!
