Lovely pictures ...loved the frescoes and pumpkin alien faces. The fence would look fab in B/w ...just my viewpoint. Why don't you try the weekend in B/W, some of these have good contrast...converted pictures are accepted....http://blackandwhiteweekend.blogspot.com/
Love your pictures! The head is fantastic :)
Chain link is always interesting to photograph. And I love the colors on the gourds.
That head sculpture is strange but beautiful. I like the frescoes too.
Reka Sang- Thanks, I know exactly what you mean about B/W Carmi has gotten us on that theme, and I play with old Sepia and B/W from my family and other collections...I've shot some recently and will again....a few years ago I just didn't like the way they developed my B/W photos....but you gave a great inspiration, thanks!
Limar The Bent Head artist is British no wonder I like him!
Writer, it's funny you say that, a few months ago when I shot that chain link fence, I was trying to shoot the newer, not so lovely chain linking to appear better and striking against such a stunning old crumbles of what once was a great stone building!
Little Nell it's so the time for frescoes too! I shot another one of his sculptures that day too!
Great photos, as always! I actually like the gourds best. The different shades of yellow and the different textures, all from something so simple. Also, the urban one with no people was stark, and a bit sad in a way. Your photos have so much variety and depth. They entertain me and make me think! You have the Gift!
Love the depth of perspective on the chain link fence... the lines somehow draw the eye right in and to what lies beyond.
A great set of images. I really will try and join in this week : I will go search through my archives.
excellent pictures...
and i loved the captions too!
Those gourds/pumpkins are beautiful - they just glow with colour. and all the other shots are interesting too - a great collection, Karen :)
Great photos. What is the painted ceiling? I love the texture of the gourds and the brilliant color.
Another fine set of pictures, Karen. But why is it that a chainlink fence looks more appealing that a stainless steel sculpture? Bent wood would need to be in wood for me.
I like the details you've shown!
Awesome pictures. I really like the chain link fence with the background out of focus. And the metal wood thing. Way cool.
Great set of photos, I especially like the fog photo that started the set.
I'm speechless. Where do you FIND so much great stuff to shoot? You're a storyteller with a camera in her hand...and we get to follow you around. Coolness!
Great choices and variety for the detail theme!
this is a post i truly appreciate, given what i do myself often as part of my "365 days".
very well done!!

Carmi- thanks! Actually I had all these photos already, but I do often take photos about your theme....right after learning what it is...the very awesome thing about taking the random photos that I do, they now find homes very often in your themes! That is coolness!
Ticklebear- Thank you! I have to go check out your "365 Days" again...you always have the best photos EVER!

i try to diversify, but between my job, my health, time and inspiration, there are days when things are not that simple. still, i try!!!
