Thematic Photographic # 168 Metallica

THIS IS A THEMATIC PHOTOGRAPHIC POST

Carmi, from Written Inc. blog has molded "metallica" as our theme this week!  All things of metal, metallic or metallography of nature.......

So coming from a far away corner of my tool/photo-box - here's something not normally found in our toolbox!

Metal-art or metalize your metal.....
What's left of the lost Alien-Spaceship after falling from the sky and landing inside an art sculpture....imagine that!

a quote on another kind of precious musical metal......
"I just saw metal as another tool for me to use...." - Daisy Berkowitz aka Scott Putesky

Is there a Metal-Doctor in the house?
Oh
these bones are made for walking...
or dancing
and just hanging around

....a wee bit more of metal art.....

The safest kind of motorcycle to keep in your house!

Going through life as a Jack Stand, I've been known to carry a lot of weight, more than you know!

and last...
I know, this is really stretching the metal...but I shot this cutie yesterday and he was just begging to be on my blog!

"I just want to say, this metal chained harness is too tight around my nose!  Does it really have to be so tight?"

If you liked this kind of nuts and bolts for metal and care to add a few of your own
or want to view more
go here please!

That motorcycle is superb. The camel chain's tight so it can't bite.
You've reminded me that I've spent hours studying metallographic specimens - now just where ar my metallurgy practical books?

Great selection of metals, I really like the perspective of the jack stand! And the metal skeletons. Awesome.

I love that metal art, especially the skeletons! And great shots of them, too.

Camel bite can be really, really nasty. Good thing that chain is tight!!

What an enjoyable and thorough post on metal! Metal art - good one. And that camel (is it a camel?) ... I would complain too.

Alexia and Max thanks my motorcycle is really cheap on gasoline too, I'm so happy I snapped so many photos at the Franconia Sculpture Park...that place is unbelievable! Glad you liked my jack stand too Max!

Gilly- I've heard that about camels, amazing, because to me they just have the cutest of faces...but I know they keep the others caged far away from the crowds! How does something that you want to hug be so naughty!

Leslie- thanks for stopping by, I'll be back to visit yours again too!

Sara- I know metal art is interesting to me, cuz all the other metal that's for working purposes not so cool to look at!...then there's that musical side of metal...kind of hard on the ears thought! LOL thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate it!

Limar, the place I shot the skeleton had lots of other cool stuff too, kind of in the spirit of Halloween or just plain metal art! Artist actually live on the site too, but best of all is you can watch them while they create, that's really awesome!

There are a couple of great metal sculptures along the drive up to my cabin. One is an elephant. The other is a skeleton biker on a motorcycle.

Love the camel photo. That probably keeps him from spitting, too!

I love that bike, I'm not much for metal art, watch me get some of it for my front lawn one day or something silly like that! lol

I love the camel photo, it's cute... as cute as camels can get that it. :-)

Have a great day!

(oh, forgot to say...when i saw 'metallica'...first thing that came to mind...was the band! they were playing in my head all during your post! cool background music for metal sculptures!)

Steve G. thanks so much, and I'm happy you stopped by again! Happy mail is the way to smiles from ear to ear! ..and it just may keep our post offices open and the carriers working!

Laura, I just knew you'd like my bones, I took several shots of the old guy too! Or maybe he's not too old! That park rocks, even more than heavy metal music! They have artist programs there too...if you're ever in our state it's worth a trip they are open 365 or 366 days a year, really, I kid you not! Franconia Sculpture Park!

Great set of photos! Wide variety of metal "art". Gotta love the crashed spaceship --- and that poor camel. And who'd have thought to take a photo of the jack stand, and at that angle? Very fun write up, too. I enjoyed your post immensely.
