Thematic Photographic 177 - Favorites

Carmi, from Written Inc. is asking for our "favorite" shots of the year.  Ones which didn't reach a theme, but have a story to tell of their own.  Or, something else worthy of being a favorite.

My first offering - will be of stone and glass and woods and water and reflections as just a few of my most favorite things.

"The doors we open and close each day decide the lives we live" -
 Flora Whittemore

What favorite things do you put outside your window?

and strictly from nature.......

The leaves begin to fall, the wind blows, and the pond side still glows of summer's colors, a burst of brightness, before the foliage begins to lose its freshness, as autumn prepares for change, colors fade to gray on this day....

How many days did it take to get here?

I love the texture of that stone, and the colours of the trees and reflections in the water are just so lovely!

Beautiful pictures. I want to just sit on that dock, sipping iced tea and watching the lake. Ahhh, relax!

Karen the first two photos capture my heart, I LOVE buildings made of rock and stone! I wouldn't want to leave my home if it looked like this, well maybe to go outside to admire it! lol

Have a very Happy New Year!

I love them all - buildings are so great to shoot, especially when they have warm stone.
The last is the best for me - the idea of that secluded spot, private amongst the trees beside the lake - just my kind of place!

What a beautiful collection of photos. I especially like the archways in the first and last photos. Something about arches always gets me!

The drainpipe seems to be feeding water to thw window-box. However many days it takes to get to the last spot it will be worth it - if there are no mosquitos about!
