Saturday Centus - Hanging Off A Cliff

Welcome Saturday Centus followers..... I hope your 2012 is not going like this.....

Yes, Miss Jenny, from "Off on my tangent, blog" has tossed a really awesome trick of a two part series
a bit like something to keep us hanging from
the edge of your seat perhaps

what you read today will end in
a cliff-hanger

You know, like when you're at the end of C.S. I or N.C.I.S and they say part 2 next week!

Oh no!
Will Stokes be alive or will they locate Gibbs!

Only this will be more exciting!
Jenny's same rules apply, 100 words plus the prompt ....

"Hanging off a cliff" makes 104 words! Max!
Any style of writing, more pictures okay but the ending
comes next Saturday!

Here is my offering

Why am I hauling a sled in unknown territory? Oh right, I lost the bet which brings me to this rugged terrain. Seriously, can’t you envision severe, broken bones?

Even smiling as a clever mask, my scowl remains; after teetering up here so precariously. I was kidding when I said, I’d follow you to the ends of the earth!

Mt. Desert, Maine where a frenzy of excitement runs through your veins; not mine.   Just starring at the very bottom of this steep rise I’m chilled to the bones when I feel a sharp poke in my back and suddenly “Hanging off a cliff,” I see.......

To be continued.......

Next Saturday, same place.  See you then......

If you want to find yourself hanging around some more then check out Jenny's blog here

I absolutely LOVE Acadia National Park, and Mt. Desert Isle! That area is pretty wild, and the perfect setting for a cliffhanger!!!

I would hate that I don't like the cold at all, LOL. I can't wait to see what's hanging though, ha.

Karen,
I read your lament on Alexia's blog that you missed Writer's reviews. I thought you knew: they just got moved here:
bookreviewsandenglishnews.blogspot.com

C'mon over and read them.

In my childhood, I once visited Mt Desert Island, Maine. But it was summer. I did not know they had skiing there.

My mother, father, brother and I lived in a tent in the woods, bathed for the shortest possible time in the icey ocean and had a delightful lobster dinner at a local restaurant.

If there were such a thing as a time-machine, I would love to go back there to visit. Alas.

Can't wait to read more!
Best wishes,
Anna

I'm actually really glad I'm late in reading these. As soon as I finish week 88 I can go directly to week 89!

I'm really curious to see what happens next, Miss Karen!
