For 2012
Carmi, from Written Inc. blog is lighting up our theme with
"AFTER DARK"...and I promise nothing too risque'.
Maybe just a quiet stroll outside and through our neighborhood we shall go....
Too bad, another After dark, snowless, quiet evening far too windy for a fire........ yet a fine evening for a fairy tale or two...... |
Our walk wouldn't be complete, if we didn't venture through what appears to be a castle wall on this dark and not so stormy night.....
What do you think we'll find at the end of this walkway?
Surprise! Did you hear their howls? Shall we get a bit closer? |
This lone wolf seems more interested in just making a new friend...while the others....in the pack.....
Are taking a break from determining who will hold the alpha title....by grabbing a snack through the pipe. Just like a bunch of pups! |
I have just the perfect road trip in mind.
If you find yourself (like we did last Saturday night) ready for an evening road trip to (some place new) and it's already after dark, no worries! Besides grab your camera because I know we'll find something incredibly cool to shoot...... like this extremely large....
SPRINKLE CAN
or watering can....
How would you like to close our after dark adventure with a favorite after dark shot of mine from my last visit to Chicago?
Using my "Whimsical Flick" mode on my now defunct camera, I not only captured after dark, but strangers and brief inside views (behind me) "Oh Chicago...you are my kind of town, Chicago...especially after dark! After dark..... "One who roams the channels after dark, searching for buried treasure. " Harriet van Horne ...if we don't search we'll surely never find..... If you haven't had enough after dark yet be sure to check out all the others as well, and Carmi is always looking for new additions too...so why not post some too! http://writteninc.blogspot.com/2012/01/thematic-photographic-178-after-dark.html |

Astonishing collection - you always come up with fantastic shots. The watering can must be a trick perspective - or is it really that BIG? The Chicago shot is great, too.
Alexia, the watering can is actually that large! We were thinking of going back and taking a picture next to it, like something out of Alice in Wonderland! LOL
That can is great. I thought of Alice too.
Karen - your link on Carmi's page didn't work - said the page didn't exist.
A great night-time romp around your part of the world. I thoroughly enjoyed it : thanks for letting me tag along.
Some great shots there - I loved the wolves (providing there was a fence between me and them!)
Bob, thanks for letting me know, I'll repost it!
Alan, did you bring your dog Amy along for the romp too? I know she would have loved it! LOL
That last shot is really quirky. At first I thought it was some kind of ‘projection’ over the city. I’m so glad you explained it, as sometimes our brains find it hard to rationalise these things. A great series of shots as ever Karen.
What a cool collection of photos! My daughter would love the wolves - and her twin brother would probably think that watering/sprinkling can was totally awesome!
Cool set of pictures, really like the castle wall and Chicago shot. Nice!
Very original one giant shower. My favorite is the last.
